Anyhow, today, I have the beautiful, sweet, and talented Natasha from Schue Love. Her blog features home design, fashion, food, a little bit of everything! She recently painted and styled this beautiful hutch! Check out the gorgeous backing!
You are in a treat today with a parade of before and afters from Natasha! Take it away, lady! And everyone enjoy your beautiful Fall weekend!
Hello! I’m Natasha from Schue Love, and I’m thrilled to be here today. Decor is an emphasis on my blog and I’ve been having fun showcasing the evolution of our first home!
One of our two guest bedrooms before.
And after! The painting and side lamps really brightened up the space. Of course my favorite accessory is this chandelier.
The kitchen before…truly awful!
And after! What you could not see in the “before” picture is the HUGE fireplace on the wall opposite the sink. We tore that down…added an island and basically started from scratch. The cabinets are real alder, which helps add the mountain ambiance of our Tahoe home.
One thing that had to change in the kitchen was the hutch…it all blended together too much and didn’t have any pop.
So we painted it black and I could not be more happy with the results! We added gray wall paper to the back and it’s really transformed the kitchen.
Everything had to go in this bathroom…including the outdated shower, toilet, and cabinets.
Voila! I personally helped tile the floors…and I adore the subway tile on the counters and shower.
Sneak Peak::The Dining Room
Thankfully, I snapped a picture of the dining room before. This used to be a porch which was poorly enclosed. You can see it’s totally unfinished…the ceiling had no drywall. The windows were broken and the carpet…hideous! I’m not entirely sure what this room was used as before, but we decided to make it the formal dining room. There really was no other place for one…so with a lot of work and trust…we transformed it into this…
We LOVE this space. It’s a great area to entertain and the windows offer beautiful views. The chandelier helps to anchor the room and make it an established dining room. Check out more photos this coming Monday to see the full transformation! 🙂
Thanks to Cassie for having me today and be sure to stop by and say hi!
