Hi guys! I am soooooo flipping excited to be sharing this news with you today! Before I get to our vintage ornament gender reveal I thought I’d give you some of my symptoms, cravings, and other fun info so you could make some guesses before hitting play…. And yes, it’s early to know as I am only 13.5 weeks, but because of my age I did all of the genetic screenings, and was able to find out the gender and this impatient mama is in the “needs to know!” pool.
Cravings: Gimme all the meat and potatoes! (And I am usually a veggies and seafood eater who eats no red meat or pork at all… that has changed for now.)
Heartburn: Ugh yes, I was having it at 9 weeks and started doing whole 30 and that has helped my situation immensely. I had heartburn when I carried Emmy, but not with Sawyer. She came out pretty hairy. 😉
Chinese calendars: Most point to girl.
Morning sickness: None…. little waves of nausea now and again, but other than that, nope. I didn’t have it with Sawyer or Emmy either.
Dreams: I had a dream about playing with a toddler boy in the park. He was my son, and we were just playing happily. That’s really the only dream I’ve had.
Heartrate: The first ultrasound had a very high heart rate of 165. Emmy was high, and Sawyer was low.
What do we want? Honestly, we are just so happy to have a healthy baby growing and making it this far! I don’t have any preference whatsoever, and my kids each wanted the same gender that they are, but were truly going to be excited either way as they have much younger cousins of both sexes that they adore. Chris mentioned wanting a boy because he didn’t think he could handle another girl…. Emmy is creative, spirited, fun, and amazing, but for Chris sometimes that equates to “a lot.” He actually said, “she’s just…. a lot.” She goes through the house singing, dancing, giggling, entertaining, and it’s all joyous, but it is a lot at times. 😉
Well, what are your guesses! Tell me in the comments what your guess was compared to reality- I would love to hear!
To share what we’re having, we hung two pink and two blue vintage ornaments on a tree to demonstrate our existing family. The kids have one more ornament to hang for you. And if you listen to the background music, it might give you a clue. Sawyer picked it out.
And now without further ado…. (Sorry- I can’t seem to get it to load as a regular video! Hope you can click to view.)
