(I am partnering with my favorite eco-friendly home and health care online retailer, Grove Collaborative, on today’s post. This post contains affiliate links but I was not otherwise compensated. All opinions are my own and photography belongs to Grove). I can’t believe tomorrow is Valentine’s Day! Can you? Do you have any plans? I’ll be working then headed to Sawyer’s trumpet lesson…. super romantic day. 😉 We never have really celebrated Valentine’s Day, but we usually get the kids something small. Maybe because my schedule is currently more hectic than ever, or maybe because I’m a hormonal emotional mess, I’ve been thinking a lot about self care as February is also a great month to focus on that…. after all, you can’t fully give love to another unless you love and take care of yourself. Because of the crazy schedule lately, I’ve been finding some quick and easy ways that I can treat myself without having to spend money or leave my house…. I’ve binge watched This is Us Season 1; I’ve had a nice long chat with a close friend on the phone (so much better than text!!); I’ve baked some healthy and delicious treats for myself and the family; I usually love to take walks but the weather hasn’t allowed that one lately. One of my absolute favorite ways to indulge in self care back when I had a big bath tub was to soak in the tub. One day, I will again have a lovely bathtub that will be perfect for that! If you have a bathtub ritual you like to indulge in, you can treat yourself to some self care with a free Mrs. Meyer’s bath set this month from Grove Collaborative.
This month, my favorite online retailer for eco friendly and safe home and health care is offering new members an awesome self-care incentive. New customers will receive the following with their first $20 purchase now through Sunday.
- Mrs. Meyer’s body wash
- Mrs. Meyer’s body lotion
- Grove Collaborative loofah
- 60 day VIP trial
If you are already a member, your free gift this month will be a Grove lip balm, which happens to be my absolute favorite lip balm. Actually, in a couple of week’s I’ll be taking over the Grove instagram account to share some of my personal favorites that I use on a day to day basis, and you better believe that the mint & chia lip balm is on my list! I’m also going to be sharing some of my picks for getting our home ready for baby. 🙂
For those of you who are new to Grove, it’s totally worth it and I wouldn’t share if it wasn’t. I had a close friend sign up last month and as soon as her first order arrived, I received the following text: “My Grove came. I’m obsessed.” She had texted me to ask me if it truly was worth it and I said that it definitely was… I had been a member for over a year and have loved the benefits that come with the VIP membership including free shipping, price matching, and free gifts (worth over $35 each!) 4 times a year! And the added bonus for someone like me, who lives over 20 minutes from the closest retailer that carries the same products, the time and money I save make a huge difference.
I have to admit, I am a little jealous of those of you who get to take advantage of this month’s offer and have a big bath tub, too. 😉 I will just have to live vicariously through you and keep my dream alive. Doesn’t this look so dreamy?
Just click here or on the image below to take advantage of this awesome Mrs. Meyer’s bath set! You only have until Sunday!
I’ve told you about some of my favorite self-care practices, but I’ve got a list of others I’d love to take the time to start…
- journaling, especially a gratitude journal
- yoga for even just 30 minutes a few times a week
- reading more self-betterment books (I’ve really been wanting to buy Tribe of Mentors by my favorite podcaster, Tim Ferriss, but I’ve not pulled the trigger.)
- taking more time to spend with friends
- reading to my kids more
- getting outside with the family more as the weather permits
- taking time to be crafty and digging into that part of my brain
All of these are activities that I’ve done in the past at some point and they always feed my soul and make my heart happy. Now I would love to hear some of your own ideas for practicing self care… spill! Let’s all be happier together!
