Hi guys! It’s been a rush of activity over here with school and sports starting back up, and in the midst of it I’ve been preparing for our sale this weekend, which is a special one because it’s Market Days at Sweet Clover. In addition to the regular inside vendors such as myself and my partner Katie (who took all of the beautiful photos you’re about to see!), there will be loads of outdoor vendors selling handmade and vintage wares. It’s shaping up to be a beautiful early fall weekend just perfect for vintage shopping. Although if you ask me, any weekend is perfect for vintage shopping. Am I right? Anyhow, maybe it’s because fall is my favorite season, but this month our space at Sweet Clover is my favorite of all we’ve put together so far. Check it out for yourself!
I found this creepy doll at a big 4th of July sale and I saved it for this month because I knew she’d be perfect. She’s saying, “Come, look at my pumpkins. That’s right…. a little closer now, child….” and then she snaps and bites.
We loaded my dresser with all the brass and added some skeletons to creep it up a bit.
In the center of the space sits a bench I found. I love its black distressed finish.
We draped a buffalo tapestry over it.
Katie brought in a few new pieces as she had an awesome month last month and sold pretty much everything. This triple dresser is painted in my favorite coastal blue.
She also added this beautiful basset server.
I am really into moody teal lately, so of course there is also the dresser I brought last month finished in a two tone look as well.
The vignette on top was arranged with “what we had that was homeless” in the space, but I really like how it came together in the end.
The black and wood dresser I brought last month was also put together in a similar manner, and again, I’m happy with the outcome.
Katie brought in a gorgeous new industrial piece she painstakingly refinished. It turned out so well after all her hard work!
And yes, that is my own green hutch I decided to part with! Can you believe it? Our dining room received a little makeover which I can’t wait to share with you soon, but you’ll have to wait for now!
We staged this piece with some Halloween decor and glass bottles filled with feathers.
If you are local, come on out to Fall Market Days at Sweet Clover this weekend!
