You guys! I apologize for the lack of makeovers and DIY’s lately… life has been cuh-razy, crazier than it has been in a long time. There are many wonderful exciting things happening in my life right now, and also some not so wonderful and all I will say about that is that cancer has been affecting my life in too many ways lately and in too young of friends. But I am keeping a positive attitude and sure that cancer will be beaten in some cases. In others, it isn’t going to be beaten, and that is the sad truth, but it is not going to break spirits. I’ve seen the true character of some people who I am so proud to call my friends.
Now that I am crying I will move on before I get too emotional on you. Because there are so many wonderful things to fill you in on as well (some will just have to wait….), and I have lots of DIYs to share with you in the next few weeks as well!
Do you remember earlier this year when I wrote about contentment? I shared this image which pretty much summed up how I was heading into the year.
I really dove into 2015 expecting nothing and being so grateful for all that I already had. And do you know what happened? I heard the knock of opportunity…. and more than once. First, I was so lucky to be selected as an Ace Blogger, and now I am a contributor for Ehow! I will be creating projects and writing for their amazing site, and have already been working on a few projects for them that I am so excited to share with you.
My first post is live and I wanted to share with you. It’s a new addition to Emmy’s room, and as you may have gathered from my title, I shared a step by step tutorial on how to paint a chalkboard thought cloud on the wall. Emmy was excited to write on it, as you can see below. And I let her write whatever her heart desired.
She was also more than happy to model it for me. This photo was an outtake I didn’t use, but I loved it so much, despite its being slightly out of focus.
Head on over to ehow for all of the details!
And thank you, dear readers and friends, for sticking around when things get crazy, for being there to support and uplift, and keep me smiling. I appreciate you more than you know.
