As luck would have it, everyone else is better. And I am now sick. I woke up yesterday morning to a sore throat and ended the day in bed snuggled with my two favorite munchkins watching Muppets from Space. Sawyer rubbed my back and played with my hair as I had done for him all week, so even though I was not feeling great, the tenderness was not lost on me. So while this sickness is of course unfortunate, I actually do have some tales of real luck to share with you!
I have one some giveaways lately….
First of all, I won an awesome handmade pillow cover from Katie at Craptastic. She wrote the sweetest note and added a little goodie for me!
Here is the pillow cover on a pillow in the guest room, and please pardon the yellow hue to these two photos. I had my WB on the wrong setting, and well now I am feeling like crap so I won’t be taking another picture at the moment.
And my extra goodie- how cute is this little ornament?
I also won a giveaway from Sarah at Modern Country Style for a few sample pots of Farrow & Ball paint- I was so excited to win and am looking forward to trying these colors out!
And I won a giveaway from for a from Kathleen at Between Blue and Yellow for a poster from U-Printing! I need to go through my photos and choose one! I have a feeling it might feature my two favorite little people.
And finally, I am lucky because I am surrounded by people I love… My mother in law was a humongous help to me this past week, so thank you, Pam! And my husband understood my need to get out and have a girl’s day yesterday after this week, so I hopped in my car, kid-free, and met my friend Emily at the awesome Elizabeth & Company Vintage Tag Sale in Westminster, MD. I was not going to let my sore throat squash those plans! I had a fabulous time visiting with Sharon and her daughter, Megan, and hanging out with Emily, and I came home with some goodies, such as…
This cute little red and white pillow for a whopping $2!
adorable magnetic letters…. This is what I spelled as a pre-Christmas reminder to my kids. The kids had so much fun with them making new words though that I am going to be getting more!
An awesome vintage framed map for $9!
I purchased a few other goodies, but they are hiding until Christmas. And sweet Sharon remembered these glasses the last time I visited her. I had loved them, and regretted not buying them. I looked around today and didn’t see them and figured I had missed my chance. But Sharon had a bag for me with a sweet note, and these were my housewarming gift from her. Aren’t they awesome!
Please visit all of these ladies wonderful blogs! They are all super nice and talented, and I know you will enjoy them!
Happy Sunday….. I am going to try to get some work done, and am also working in a new little potential hobby I decided to try. 🙂 That is of course if I feel OK…. I may end up in bed most of the day, and that is OK, too. Sometimes you just gotta listen to your body.
