Awesome Eclectic Art Prints with Artollo: A Vintage Travel Inspired Piece

I was contacted by Artollo to receive and review a print from their selection.  I was not otherwise compensated, and all opinions are my own.  Photography by Jalapeno Photography.

I love art- I think that what we select to display on our walls can tell our story, tell our guests where we’ve been, what inspires us, and so much more.  When Artollo contacted me to review one of their prints, I perused their gallery and gladly accepted.  They have so many amazing prints to choose one and I wasn’t sure what I was going to choose, until I came across “the one” and had the perfect space in mind.  They actually carry an array of items like t-shirts and mugs, pillows and more, but I love art prints!

Before I get to that, here are some other prints from Artollo that caught my eye.

I love all of the gorgeous watercolor prints they carry…

I also love their nursery art, which I would use in places other than a nursery as well.

And they carry many vintage inspired prints like this camping one!campingPin

In the end I chose a vintage inspired travel piece called Going to Alaska!

Why did I choose this print, you may wonder?  Well, I have a talented and stunning friend, Eddie.  She is beautiful inside and out, and was due to have a baby…. her first boy.  She hails from Alaska, and I knew she was going for a vintage travel type of look for his nursery.  They just moved into an AMAZING ooooooold home and have been working to fix it up and I thought this print would be a great addition to his room, and a reminder of her roots and heritage.  I do believe that art is a very personal choice though, so before I ordered it, I asked for permission.  Luckily, Eddie loved it as well.

And bonus for you…. we tried and tried to get together for me to photograph the art in her son’s nursery, but snow and sickness had other plans for us.  So Eddie, who is a professional photographer, shot these for me.  She is responsible for all of my profile photos as well as our family photos!

So check out how it looks in his nursery….

And check out how well it works with the other art in the room!  And do you spy the baby?  He is seriously the sweetest and has the best hair!

Here’s a closer look at Mr. Adorable…

And here is a peek of his nursery.  This space is totally amazing…. Hopefully Eddie will share the rest on her blog soon! 😉  Hint hint, Eddie…

Eddie has such amazing style and is a great friend and influence to me.  She has a knack for seeing the beautiful in the average, which makes her an amazing photographer.

And I am so glad that I was able to contribute some meaningful art to her nursery!  “Shrimp” was born on December 1, 2014, and at two weeks of age, already made his first trip to Alaska!  I am sure their will be many more in his lifetime, and hopefully this print will grow with him and remind him of his fun travels to see his grandparents and see where his mom spent her childhood.

Thank you so much to Artollo for providing me with this print, and thank you to Jalapeno photography for providing the photos for this post.
