Last night was Sawyer’s 6th birthday party. We had a Star Wars theme, but kept it very simple this year since we have so much going on with moving. We wanted to keep it low key and be able to mingle with our friends since this was going to be the last time we would see some of them for a while. We held the party down at one of our community beaches, just as we did last year. It makes for a great party as the kids get to play in the water while the adults hang out! It also allows us more of a budget with food, so we supply lots of beer for the adults! For party favors we handed out martian lollipops and Star Wars sugar cookies my mom made, and the kids also got water b=noodles in blue and green, aka “good guy” light sabers. Here are a couple of snapshots from the party….
I found these cupcake sets at the Williams Sonoma Outlet last month. |

I had to get a shot of Sawyer and his girlfriend. He is going to miss his Mallory! Isn’t she a doll? It got a little overexposed, but I couldn’t leave it out of the roundup. |
Now let’s get to the POWW faves. So many awesome and inspirational projects were linked up this week! Here are some that caught my eye.
I love this dark blue gray dresser with red knobs from Painted on Hartland. The photo is a little dark, but not too dark to hide how awesome it is!
This piece meal hutch from The Speckled Dog is fabulous! The colors, the legs, the details… wow!
What a difference some white paint and a pattern can make, as on this bookcase pair from Hi Sugarplum!
And finally, love these fun and bright chairs from White Street Interiors. I can see them in a fabulius college dorm room!
