Happy Tuesday! If you are coming here from Brittany Makes, welcome! (And if you haven’t come from there, make sure you head over there to check out Brittany’s Thanksgiving ready home!) And to start the entire tour from the beginning head on over to Lindsay’s!
Yesterday I shared my Thanksgiving table with you, and today I am sharing another version (set by the talented Hallie of Relish Decor) along with the rest of my home dressed for Thanksgiving as part of the #BloggerStylinHomeTours Thanksgiving edition! (Warning- ridiculous amount of pictures ahead!)
Before I show you the inside, I want to share some simple touches I’ve added to the porch.
By our front door, I added some branches clipped from a tree in the yard, filled a birdcage with gourds, and added a bull skull I picked up from one of Sweet Clover‘s vendors. It has faded tribal painting on it, which I thought was neat.
The branches are my favorite element- I love using natural pieces, especially when they are as pretty and colorful as these! I placed them in a vintage metal bucket I picked up years ago at an antique market.
These gourds were given to me by a friend and used in yesterday’s tablescape. I was looking for something to put in the birdcage and decided to steal them for the porch.
On the other side of the porch is an outdoor eating area. This time of year, we don’t use it much for eating as it’s just too cold and windy, but I like to at least make it look welcoming to guests. (Also, that is a bird feeder my kids made with a pinecone; just wanted you to know it’s not a flying turd). I layered a vintage plaid blanket with a mexican blanket, and added more gourds and my pumpkin candelabra.
Now let’s head inside to the living room….
The manle is always one of my favorite places to set the tone of the season.
I wanted to mix both silver and gold with vintage and natural elements. For the hearth, I used a woven basket, blanket, and mercury glass owl on the left; on the right I balanced it with my vintage brass deer, a stump, and a disco ball.
I added my pom pom garland made by my bestie (and available in her etsy shop) and a garland I made with glittered feathers. I decorated the feathers for Christmas last year, and this year created a garland based on the one Summer made. I love the look of multiple garlands!
On the mantle, I’ve mixed in vintage books, brass, feathers, antlers, white pumpkins, and my gold leafed bottles.
The chalkboard above the desk in the corner of the living room always gets updated with the change of seasons. This time around I’ve listed some of my favorite things about the month of November.
The bookcases in the living room generally stay the same, but I do incorporate some minor touches, this time in the form of a couple white glitter pumpkins.
The dried hydrangeas that were on my Fall mantle were relocated to the sofa table, with my sweet pet antelope.
Off of the living room is the main entry hall, which is very small and features a chalkboard wall. I change this wall out seasonally and typically add a quote to reflect how I feel.
I added falling leaves in Autumn colors.
And the quote for this season comes from one of my favorites, Maya Angelou, who actually was a professor at Wake Forest when I was a student there. I never had the good fortune to take one of her classes.
On the other side of the entry hall is the dining room, but I am saving the best for last! Instead, I’ll take you to the guest room first. In the guest room, just one simple seasonal touch was added in the form of the thankful tree we created last Thanksgiving.
Do you spy it on the dresser? It’s made of curly willow branches I found on the side of the road in a brush pile, gold arrows I made with clay, and feathers stamped with the words of things for which we are thankful
Here’s a closer look at the feathers and arrows.
The kitchen was given a couple of minor touches, but on Thanksgiving day, it will of course be the hub of all action. There is nothing I love more than a toasty kitchen smelling of roasting turkey on Thanksgiving day!!! To bring a little cheer to this space, I added some branches I clipped from trees in the yard.
On the island I added leaves and white pumpkins, along with mixed metal candlesticks.
And now let’s finally check out the amazing table that Hallie from Relish Decor set. Relish is one of my absoulte favorite downtown shops, and lucky for you, they have an online store as well! I was not paid or compensated in any way for this post- I simply am a fan of Relish and asked them if they’d like to come show off their amazing goods in my home. Hallie accessorized with items I had as well. When possible, I will share the links to the items in her store.
I had texted a picture to Hallie of the Mexican blanket I had as well as the arrows, and she knew what the dining room already looked like…. so she brought pieces that would work with all of those elements, as well as a Thanksgiving cook book.
For the place settings, she used dishes from her woodgrain dinnerware collection, which I adore! The flatware is beautiful and handmade in France. Hallie told me the story of the city of Thiers, where it comes from, and it was very interesting.
Each piece of this flatware has a little bee on it to distinguish it.
And did you spy the beautiful agate napkin rings? Check these out….
Each place setting is just stunning, very rustic, chic, natural, and using my favorite colors. You can see Hallie also added my own white and gold antlers to the table. They tie in beautifully with the gold in the glassware.
How pretty are these glasses?
In the center of the table, Hallie used my Mexican blanket as a runner, my aqua vintage pitcher filled with my vintage arrows, my wooden carved antelopes, and she added in her own handmade wooden vases and wood plank. I love the rustic and whimsical feel, and love the colors the blanket and arrows bring.
The wood and whites and colors are perfection to me!
Hallie also sells amazing Kantha throws, and threw one on my head chair…. loved how it looked it!
And just so you can see what the dining room looks like decorated for thanksgiving but without the table set, here’s what it looks like at this very moment!
And now you might need to go rinse out your eyeballs after the photo overload! I just had way too much to share with you! 🙂
Now make sure you head on over to Charming in Charlotte to see Mallory’s gorgeous Thanksgiving home! She is so talented and her work is always so beautiful- I can’t want to check it out, too!
