I was recently approached by The Bouqs to review a bouquet for them and couldn’t say “yes” fast enough. I truly believe fresh flowers make such a difference in a space, bringing life and color.
I went to TheBouqs.com and selected a bouquet of Dawn as this was a beautiful orange that would look great with our Thanksgiving table. A bouquet of one dozen of these roses runs only $40, and usually for just $10 more you can double it; but right now they are having a special where you can double it for FREE! You just have to use coupon code DOUBLEBOUQ at checkout. Want to see them?
I just love how this color pairs with the blues and darker colors of my dining room.
The color in these roses is just FABULOUS! Just check out the reason it’s called “dawn”.
This holiday season we won’t all get to travel home to see the people we love- trust me, I know how that goes. We lived in Texas and Louisiana, and traveling home at the holidays was impossible for us back then because we usually both had to work the day after Christmas. It would have been a thoughtful gesture just to say, “we wish we were there with you” in flowers.
Flowers are always a great way to let someone know you are thinking of them, especially if you can’t be there with them. (In my opinion!). When we evacuated due to Katrina in 2005, Sawyer and I were staying with my parents in Maryland while Chris was back in Louisiana working, and getting the house back in shape for us. Slidell was no place for a newborn right after that storm. During that time, we reached our second anniversary, and we couldn’t be together for it. I will never forget that Chris sent me two dozen roses for our two years and having those roses arund reminded me that he was thinking of me and our little family even if we couldn’t be together at that time.
I am totally getting sappy on you, but I think flowers just bring that side out in me! Want to make me cry sweet tears of joy? Just send me flowers. 😉
Of course at that time, The Bouqs wasn’t around to order from, but I know Chris would have loved it….. they make ordering super simple with just a few easy steps. They have excellent customer service and even have a calendar so you never miss an anniversary or birthday again!
And these flowers are long lasting and great quality….. Over a week later, they are still thriving, and now residing on my nightstand where they make me happy. Here’s a little look and a sneak peek of my Christmas home tour coming tomorrow…. (Do you spy them on the nightstand? Oh, and along with some new lamps I will be sharing soon! Stay tuned!)
Thank you to The Bouqs for brightening my home!
I will be back tomorrow to share my Christmas Home Tour as part of Lindsay’s Blogger Stylin Home Tours! Be sure to check out all of today’s posts!
