Get your mind out of the gutter people! This post is not about stormy activity in my bedroom, but about the decor! Right now it is calm and peaceful, grays, whites, some blues…. let’s refresh your memory:
That flokati rug is gone and replaced with a gray and white rug from IKEA. The flokati just attracted so much dirt… and there was no way to clean it properly. So it’s nice and calm and soft in there, but lately, my wheels have been spinning, and I want to bring in an accent color. I keep going back and forth on what to bring in. Here are the things I know I will do…
1. Find a pair of matching narrow nightstands. I want something somewhat glamorous that I can add a mirror to the top of.
2. New accent pillows in whatever color I choose.
3. New dresser- the blue one I have loved is going to find a new home soon. Whenever I find a dresser to replace it with that is. Here is the blue dresser:
I am looking for something with clean lines, perhaps a warm wood tone, maybe mid century style, and it has to be up on legs because I like to slide my running shoes under the dresser. And it has to be really big, because ideally the little white one will go as well, and we can consolidate.
4. Make an upholstered headboard. Dad, are you reading this? I need your help on that one!
Oh, and I am also selling a couple gently used pieces of bedding if anyone is interested. They are as follows…

So, out with my old, softer look, and in with a little more color! Help me choose my accent color! I am considering tangerine, yellow, citron, spring green, cobalt, aqua…. yes, I am all over the place!!!

i can’t find any images with the blue i had in my head, but now that i have looked, i found these that are similar to the blue dresser i already have and maybe i should keep it and work with it and add mroe dusty blue…

And an absolute bummer to the room is the bed must stay exactly where it is. Trust me, while my husband was at work today, I played and moved it all over the room and no other area works. I was hopign I would find a great spot for it and he would come home from work, nicely surprised by my stroke of genius! Not so…. he will be coming home to the same bed in the same place and to the same non-genius wife. 😉
