Last week Emmy and I checked another item off our summer list- we made our own dreamcatchers!  I am sharing how we did it over at The DIY Club, but here is a peek at our dreamcatchers!

We had so much fun making these together- it’s a great mommy/child craft!  Hop over to The DIY Club to see!

Aww, my son just tossed his the other day, but I still remember when we made it on a trip to the YMCA camp at Estes Park! It was above his bed for years! 🙂

I agree with Shari…you are a fun mom and I love that you are so involved with everything your kids do. The dream catcher is sweet and so colorful. I remember making these when I was a kid with my sister and mom. Good memories! It looks perfect above Emmy’s bed.

I haven’t thought about Dream Catchers since I was a little kid myself!! When I was 4-10 years old, my family hosted a Navajo Indian boy to live with us during the school year. The education on his reservation was terrible, and my church had something like an exchange program so kids on Navajo reservations could get a better education. It was really neat, we had “extended” family in the Navajo Nation. His family made us the most beautiful Dream Catchers. I think my mom still has them. What a fun craft to do with your kids!
