I am so excited to have here today Sharon from Elizabeth and Co.. Sharon has been a cheerleader for me for quite some time- always quick with a kind word and friendly smile! I have had the opportunity to see Sharon a couple years in a row now as she has shopped at the Lucketts Spring Market and visited me there. I was thrilled when she told me she had started her own blog as well. She does beautiful work, and is a very inspirational woman!

Hi everyone! I’m Sharon from Elizabeth and Co. and I’m so excited to be visiting Cassie today to share a bit of blue inspiration with you. Blue is definitely my favorite color!

When asked to name their favorite color, the overwhelming majority of people do in fact choose the color blue. From the sky to the sea, nature surrounds us with blue every single day. Blue is calming, peaceful and tranquil. And the range of blue is limitless, from powder blue and cornflower, to cobalt and indigo. There is a perfect shade of blue for everyone!

The power of blue can begin before you even step foot inside your home. According to Feng Shui philosophy, blue represents harmony, trust and loyalty. Having a blue front door will provide a safe and secure haven and create a sense of calm for all who enter.

As seen in nature, blue is the most versatile color out there. It mixes well with other colors and can take on a cool or warm feeling in a room. Using light shades will create an airy feel and visually expand a room. Consider using a light shade of blue on a ceiling. Using darker shades in a room can be dramatic and envelope you in warmth.
Blue and white kitchens are universally popular. This is a classic color combination that will never go out of style.

The body’s natural response to blue is relaxation. Simply being in a blue room has been shown to lower heart rate, blood pressure and anxiety levels. What a perfect color for a restful retreat.

Love seeing these photos. I have a grayish-blue sofa and love seat in our living room, so seeing photos of blue sofas help me when trying to co-ordinate colors with the sofa 🙂 [that and I love blue].

Cassie, you have to stop…I can’t come to your blog every day and want to redo my entire house. Haha… just kidding.
I’m the girl in Jackson, just wondering if you’ve gotten up this way to see your new nephew…maybe we can grab coffee or lunch at Cafe Lilla.

I don’t think I could choose my favorite photo from those even if I was forced too. They are decorated to perfection.

    Take care,

I’ve never been a huge fan of blue, but I think I may need to have a more open mind. These spaces are gorgeous.
