Today I have Sarah here from Cozy.Cottage.Cute. She is the perfect person to talk about white as her home is filled with all sorts of pretty white things! See for yourself!
I heart white. Like a lot.
I might even be a little bit obsessed with white. The list of white things in my home could go on and on and on and on: couches, furniture, linens, curtains, frames, dishes, lamps, lampshades, pitchers, trays, flower pots, flowers, mirrors, accessories, etc. etc. etc.
What I love most about white is that it can be paired, and look good with, just about any other colour.
For example (all images via Country Living):

In my own home, I have so many white pieces of furniture and accessories that I like to bring colour in through wall paint (pale yellows, blues, and greens) and a few coloured accessories. I also like to add in some natural materials (woven baskets, unpainted wood, bamboo blinds) to add some texture.
Here are some examples of whites used in my own home:

What I also love about white is how versatile it is. You can use it to create so many different looks. White paired with rustic elements can create a farmhouse feel. Adding a few ruffles, florals, and chippy furniture can create a shabby chic look. Breezy blues and stripes paired with white can create the feeling of a beach cottage. You can even add some white, clean-lined pieces to give a room some modern touches.
Summary: I love white. What about you? Did I bring you over to the dark white side? 🙂
