DIY Vintage Globe Succulent Planter

Every once in a while I have an idea and I think to myself, “Self, that’s a good idea!  You should have a cookie.”  This was one of those ideas.

I found a vintage globe a month a year two years ago that was missing its base.  For safe keeping, I kept it in my closet, because that made perfect sense.  Right next to my jeans.  I had plans to make it into a light fixture, but that never happened, and frankly, it’s been done.  I wanted to do something that I hadn’t seen done with a globe before.

I realized that if I divided it into 4 quarters, I could make it into wall pockets, and from there I decided to take it a step further and make it into a DIY vintage globe succulent planter.

You can find the full tutorial of how I created this globe succulent planter over at ehow.DIY Globe Wall Succulent PlanterNow, it’s time for that cookie.  (Don’t I wish…. time to clean up my eating is more like it!)

Have a great Monday!

This is so stinkin’ clever – I love using old things for planters, but this may be a favorite in my eyes.
