Easter Bunny Finger Nails brought to Emmy by Q-Tip Precision Tips

Happy April fool’s day!  I am not really much of a trickster, so I won’t be making you an April fool today.  Instead I have a cool new product to share with you which could make your nails the talk of the Easter table.  Aunt Betty will be insanely jealous.

Recently I was contacted by Q-tip to try out their new Q-Tip Precision Tips.  These swabs are created differently so that they have more of a pointy tip, making them more useful in areas that require more, well, precision!  Check out their shape!

I was excited to give them a try.  Right away I knew exactly what I wanted to use them for.

Emmy is always wanting me to paint designs on her teensy tiny 5 year old fingernails.  Needless to say, it has been a real challenge for me, so I was excited to try the new precision tops on her nails.  Last week, she had one of her best buds from school over.  It was the perfect chance to have a little manicure party.  I started off by painting the girls nails pink.  I used the Q-tips to paint all sorts of designs on their nails in lots of colors.  We had a rainbow of colors on hand, so of course, the girls wanted to use every color!  Here they are showing off their nails…. (Pardon our horribly ugly kitchen, but we do all paint, nail activities here, since we don’t care about these countertops!)

With the unique shape of this Q-Tip, I was able to paint polka dots, flowers, butterflies, and even cute little Easter bunnies!  Now they aren’t perfect but bear in mind that these are the tiniest nails to work with!  Check out the cute bunnies on Emmy’s hands!  I did whiskers and the girls weren’t crazy about those, which is why one bunny has whiskers and one has a smiley face.  I did have a pen to make the faces, but the bunny shape was done with the precision tip Q-tip.   (The girls painted the base coat on their nails themselves very independently!)

How cute are those?  While I was painting their nails and was able to do so many designs, the girls kept squealing, “This is the best playdate ever!”  So I think the Q-tip painted nails were a hit. šŸ™‚ 😔 (Get it?  That is my whisker face!)

Aside from nail-painting, Q-Tip has provided me with a fabulous list of all sorts of uses.  Check it out!

Beauty
Disposable Eye Shadow Brushes
Q-tipsĀ® Precision Tipsā„¢ cotton swabs are great for eye shadow application because they are disposable! Use a new one for each color to ensure eye shadow hues stay true.

The Ultimate Smokey Eye Look
To achieve a quick smokey eye, draw a thick line close to your lash line using eyeliner and smudge upwards with a Q-tipsĀ® Precision Tipsā„¢ cotton swab to create a ā€œsmokeyā€ effect.

Day to Night Glamour in Shades of Gray
To instantly take your look from daytime to date night, use Q-tipsĀ® Precision Tipsā„¢ cotton swabs and an eye shadow compact with shades of gray.  Use one to layer and blend multiple hues for a softer, updated version of the “smokey eye.”

A Quick Fix for Eye Shadow Creases
Smooth eye shadow creases on your eyelids with Q-tipsĀ® Precision Tipsā„¢ cotton swabs.

Apply Fake Lashes
Use Q-tipsĀ® Precision Tipsā„¢ cotton swabs to help apply fake lashes. Start by applying a dab of lash adhesive to the tip. Keep the tip as close to the lash line as possible and use it to guide the application of the faux lash strip on your lid.

Control Crazy Eyebrows
Control unruly brows by applying a small amount of VaselineĀ® petroleum jelly using Q-tipsĀ® Precision Tipsā„¢ cotton swabs to your eyebrows.

Precision Powdering
Rather than applying powder on your entire face, use Q-tipsĀ® Precision Tipsā„¢ cotton swabs to dab loose powder only where you need it – for example, the center of the forehead, the sides of the nose and the chin.

A Disposable Wand for Concealer
Use Q-tipsĀ® Precision Tipsā„¢ cotton swabs to apply concealer from a container if it doesn’t have a wand.

Help Treat Blemishes
To help quickly heal blemishes, apply a small dollop of an acne spot treatment with salicylic acid to the end of a Q-tipsĀ® Precision Tipsā„¢ cotton swab. They will help you treat blemishes without adding additional oils from your fingers.

Mask a Blemish
To quickly hide a blemish, simply moisten one end of your Q-tipsĀ® Precision Tipā„¢ cotton swab with an astringent that contains salicylic acid and lightly dab on to the blemish. Use the other end as a makeup applicator to apply an oil-free concealer to mask the blemish.

Anti-Wrinkle Spot-On Applicator
Use Q-tipsĀ® Precision Tipsā„¢ cotton swabs to apply your anti-wrinkle cream directly to lines and creases.

Use Every Last Bit
Q-tipsĀ® Precision Tipsā„¢ cotton swabs are the perfect size to get the last bit of foundation out of your makeup bottle and off of the rim.  The cotton tip also allows for easy transfer of the foundation.

Keep Your Perfect Pout in Place
Keep lip color from bleeding by using Q-tipsĀ® Precision Tipsā„¢ cotton swabs to apply loose translucent powder along the outer edge of your lips.

Maximize The Life of Your Lipstick
Use Q-tipsĀ® Precision Tipsā„¢ cotton swabs to get every last bit of color from  your favorite lipstick.

The At-Home Manicure
Give yourself an at-home manicure and pedicure with Q-tipsĀ® Precision Tipsā„¢ cotton swabs by lightly moistening the end with nail polish remover to create your own “magic wand” that will instantly erase unwanted mistakes around your nails.

Prevent Cuticle Cracks
Use Q-tipsĀ® Precision Tipsā„¢ cotton swabs to apply Shea butter on nail cuticles to prevent cracks.

Leopard Print Nails
Use Q-tipsĀ® Precision Tipsā„¢ cotton swabs to make colorful dots on at-home manicures. Leopard print style!

Come In for a Gorgeous Landing
ā€œRollā€ a Q-tipsĀ® Precision Tipsā„¢ cotton swab in your favorite eye shadow and store in a plastic wrap – re-apply after flight and dispose easily!

Aww such cute little bunnies! (the girls and the nails!)
I spend half my life painting girls’ nails at my table. I’m a big fan of artist’s paintbrushes (the smallest ones) but I’ll keep an eye out for these Q-Tips!

    Yo. That’s super cute.

I’ve seriously been searching for these for 10 years. We stayed with some friends, and she had some Q-tips like these. I have never seen them anywhere. She must have bought them overseas or something… I know I’m a freak.
