Hey guys! I haven’t forgotten about you, but these days I have been hanging around the house with Chris soaking in the newborn phase. I’ll be introducing our baby boy soon! For now, I have a different introduction and announcement for you. If you’ve been reading for a while, you know that I went back to Sweet Clover as a vendor last fall and have absolutely loved it. I really missed having a partner to bounce ideas off of as well as just make it a more fun experience. Let’s face it… those of us in this business know we do it so much more for the passion and pleasure than we do for the money! 😉 I also knew that my time was about to become more limited with the arrival of our baby, and I was worried about maintaining the space; but I love what I do so refused to give it up. I decided that the best thing to do for the space and for my own happiness and sanity was to invite someone to share with me. I’m excited to announce that moving forward, I am partnering with Katie of Little House of Four and we’ll be collaborating on filling and designing the space each month. The timing for her was serendipitous, and so far we are having a blast working together and keeping each other laughing! That’s my exciting Sweet Clover announcement, and now I want to show you what we’ve created together for this Mother’s Day Weekend Sip & Shop.
Katie and I are both drawn to blue and green paired with neutrals, and that shines through this month. She’s brought some awesome pieces and I am excited to show them off! The table below I refinished with a bit of green showing through to pair with the green metal vintage chairs Katie had. You can read about the table here.
At the entry to our space, we’ve got an awesome set of dusty aqua lockers Katie found. I love the size of these!
On the opposite side of the entry sits a navy campaign style desk that Katie refinished.
We also share a propensity for midcentury dressers, and I am pretty much in love with the midcentury pieces that Katie brought into the space this month. This charcoal gray dresser has such cool details on the drawer. You’ll have to check out Katie’s post on it to see the full piece… the legs are wood and the combination is awesome.
Katie painted the body and bottom drawers of this white and wood midcentury dresser. Ironically, I have the long low one that goes with it and am planning to paint the body white! Great minds. 😉
On top of that dresser, we staged several wicker pieces to keep in line with the organic vibe.
On the low white midcentury dresser that I painted, we added natural wood touches paired with a bit of blue.
I am truly thrilled with how the space came together and looking forward to working with Katie in the future, making the space the best it can be, and having a grand time while doing it!
