Hi guys! I am so excited today to be joining in Ella Claire‘s free printable blog hop today with 34 other bloggers. I created a free “Fall is My Jam” printable, and you can find the full list of 35 free printables at the bottom of this post. This is my second time venturing in creating a free printable for you guys… the last time I did it was a couple of years ago when I designed my playroom art wall. But I figure you never grow if you don’t step outside of your comfort zone, so I did step out of it and created a printable for you! I wasn’t really sure what I would create when I signed up, but I’ve been so into canning and spending more time in the kitchen these days and those activities inspired my printable, “Fall is My Jam.”
Ironically, I have not made jam… I’ve made salsa, spaghetti sauce, canned peaches, canned tomatoes, applesauce, and peach salsa. But as much as I tried, “Fall is my salsa” just doesn’t have the same ring. Fortunately, my neighbor and I swapped a jar of peaches for a jar of her homemade blackberry jam so I used it for my photos so I could create a little jam vignette, not to be confused with a jam session.
Although I haven’t made any jam (yet), the sentiment in this printable is 100% true. Fall is always my favorite season… Apple picking, pumpkin patches, fingerless gloves wrapped around a warm cup of coffee, looking for beautifully colored leaves with my kids. Those are just some of the reasons this season speaks to my soul.I also love the state of reflection that naturally comes as we prepare to hunker down for colder weather. I tend to listen to softer folk inspired music in the Fall… I will play my favorite mellow country songs, Tracy Chapman, or Patty Griffin as I work in the kitchen. (Patty actually has a song called Making Pies, which I adore)
Before I get to the free printable in different color ways, I want to thank my friend for this amazing blackberry jam which is delicious! But I have to be honest with you… I don’t eat it on toast. I styled it for this photo, and then licked it off because it’s too good to waste, and brought the toast out to the chickens, who are big carb lovers. (I mean, can you blame them?)
Do you want to know what I love to do with jam that is healthy and absolutely delicious but isn’t as photogenic? For breakfast I love to have a good scoop of plain greek yogurt, a spoonful of chia seeds, and a spoonful of jam. I mix it all together and it’s one of my favorite meals and keeps me feeling satiated all morning, except on Sunday mornings when without fail my stomach growls loudly in church during the “quiet prayer and reflection time.” Every other morning though, I make it through with no growling.
Now I’d like to offer you this free printable in the aqua and raspberry I created for myself, or several other options you can find below. Just click on the link below each to get the free dropbox printable.
