As November creeps on, I’ve got two kids who are more excited each day for Christmas. We don’t really do a ton in the way of gifts, but we have one Christmas Eve annual present we began back in 2009 and it’s become my favorite Christmas tradition: matching pajamas. I actually wrote about this tradition here and you can see many of the Christmas Past pajamas our kiddos have worn. Having one child of each sex has made it a little more challenging in finding something that they both will love, but lately I’ve discovered more online shops selling adorable matching pajamas so I thought I would share them with you here, and also give you a peek of the ones we ended up ordering. I always look high and low and check every online shop I can think of that might have matching pajamas. This year was the first year I checked Kohl’s and boy, was I glad I did! They had so many choices, great prices, and offered further discounts. If we had two girls, I would have definitely purchased these retro car pajamas, but the colors were not right for Sawyer. Seriously though, aren’t they the cutest?
After perusing the many fun styles on the Kohl’s website, I ended up ordering these Nutcracker pajamas. Nutcrackers have also become a tradition for us, with Emmy and my parents gifting one to Sawyer each year. These seemed perfect for us! Additionally, the nightgown of the set for Emmy comes with a matching nightgown for her doll, and although many of her friends have outgrown their American Girl dolls, my little girl still adores playing with hers and dressing them up.
Lands’ End is always one of my favorite places to shop for the kids, as well as for outdoor gear. Their clothing is pretty timeless and typically great quality. I contemplated getting the kids coordinating but not matching pajamas here. I loved this gnome nightgown for Emmy.
I would have paired that with these flannel dog pajamas for Sawyer; as you can see they don’t technically match, but they would have paired together nicely. Lands’ End almost always has great promotions or discounts going on as well.
Hannah Andersson always has the cutest matching sets of family pajamas, but they’re just a little too rich for my blood. If money was no issue though, my kids would possibly be wearing these Star Wars pajamas….
Or perhaps the yeti PJs. Of course they do carry really classic plaid and striped styles, but these are just too fun.
Finally, one of my go-tos for Christmas Pajamas, and where I’ve purchased them the last two years is Amazon. Two years ago, the kids wore classic red and white striped which were called “boys” but I think they’re pretty gender neutral. (Emmy had gotten hot and changed, but here you can see Sawyer sporting them).
This year when searching on Amazon, I found several sets that I loved. These polar bears are adorable, and I love the gray and white.
I am always up for a classic plaid, especially at Christmas. However, I have one little girl who pretty much despises plaid. I am failing her somehow. If she loved it, I would have loved to get something like these red plaid pjs.
Lastly, I really loved these, but they aren’t available through prime, and they didn’t yet have any reviews…. but goodness, I adore the style of shirt that goes with these bear family pjs.
Now I have to know, do you guys do Christmas pajamas? What other cheesy traditions does your family continue to do each year? For us, it’s definitely the PJs and my mom’s homemade cookies on Christmas Eve…. it’s not Christmas without those two things! I love these traditions, because I know that they help us to create the memories my kids will look back on and cherish, and hopefully continue with their own families one day. In the very far away future. 😉
