Happy Friday, everyone! Ready for the weekend? I know I am! I thought I would end the week sharing some things from life and around the web that have put a smile on my face this week.
This song and video, “Lemonade” from Alex Boye, is contagiously upbeat. You can’t listen to it without feeling immediately better about whatever may have been bugging you.
Have you checked out the One Room Challenges? The link party is a great source of inspiration as I love to see what real people with real budgets create in their homes. Lately I am drawn to all the fun kids spaces, maybe because my two are outgrowing so many of these charming styles This space in particular is colorful, eclectic, and playful, and has Emmy dreaming of a bunk bed just like it. I told her we might look into building her one. What have I gotten myself into?
Last weekend, Emmy made her acting debut as Boq in the school production of Oz. Here she is singing her lines all by herself… This moment made me both proud and happy and slightly nervous! I was the backstage mom on this particular night and I was standing backstage holding my breath and praying she’d get her lines straight! (Photo by Heather Shawver). FYI I helped with makeup as well and we had to put black on their brows… my girl doesn’t have dodgeball-esque brows!Sarah and I are working on staging our next Sweet Clover sale for May 19-22 and we found these awesome palm leaves at Oriental Trading Co. We had grand plans to make our own with paper, but when they are this inexpensive why bother wasting your time, right?
We’ve gotten a couple areas all set up, and this one is my favorite! I hope to have a post about the dresser coming soon, too.PS-Speaking of Sweet Clover, next weekend I am so excited that Amy Renea, blogger at A Nest for All Seasons and author of Crafting with Nature, will be with us on Saturday signing her new book! If you’re local come on out and see her!
That’s all! Hope you have a wonderful weekend…. remember to make lemonade!
