Happy Birthday to One of My Most Favoritest People Ever, and A Table Pair Makeover

First of all, I need to say happy birthday today to my pal Andi, who is turning 33 today!  About one month and 20ish days before me. (I am August 9!) In honor of her birthday, she is hosting a week of giveaways, so be sure to go enter each day!  Today is an especially fun one!!!
And here is a favorite photo of the birthday girl, just for fun!  This photo is reaction to her husband purchasing tickets to NKOTB.  You would look like this, too.

Oh, and do you see that new button below my header?  The one that says “I am prettier on my blog”.  Andi designed it! When we did the Race for the Cure we met up with several other bloggers.  I told Andi, “What if we don’t recognize them or they don’t recognize us?  I am much prettier on my blog than in real life.”  We had a chuckle and thought we needed a button like that for our blogs!  If you head over to her blog, you can grab the code for it as well.  As of now it is linking back to her blog, but she is working on making it just an image if possible.  Don’t ask me to help with that part. I just come up with clever sayings.

Tomorrow I will be a guest blogger at It’s So Very Cheri and I will be sharing a thrifty and thoughtful gift idea that I put together for Andi.  She has promised not to read it though since I won’t see her til Friday.

And in honor of Andi’s birthday I thought I would share a project in her favorite color family!
I found this pair of tables at Goodwill last week with Emmy.  It was $20 for the pair and I loved the lines!

The leather tops were not in great shape, but I knew they could be painted. And that little box on top may make a reappearance this week.  Just sayin.  I chose Anniw Sloan’s chalk paint in Provence, a beautiful blue color.  They photographed a little brighter than they really are, but I  love them!  Hope they find a good home soon!

Do you have a furniture project of your own to share?  Then don’t forget to link up to my furniture link party!
Have a great day!

Best. Picture. Ever! For NKOTB, I would also have had a similar expression. (Shouldn’t they be OKOTB by now?

I don’t believe for one second you are prettier on your blog than in person! The tables are so pretty. Love the blue, and the original hardware.

I love the way they turned out. Question…you mentioned they had leather tops…did you just paint over the leather? I ask this because I have a desk that has a leather top and I have wanted to paint it, but have been unsure about how to do it.
