Happy Mother’s Day and Scenes from Another Walk

First of all…

Happy Mother’s Day to my mom, who has set the bar high for me.   If I get half that high, I am a success.

Happy Mother’s Day to Pam, who raised a man who knows how to love and respect and be a good father, all while making me laugh, too.

Happy Mother’s Day to all my mom friends.  We laugh and cry together over the joys and sorrows of motherhood.  You all make it an easier job to handle.

Happy Mother’s Day to the maternal figures in my life.  Even if you do not have children, mother’s day is also for the aunts, the sisters, the friends who love unconditionally and help me to be a better mother.

I started my Mother’s Day with a morning walk.  I shared scenes from a walk a couple weeks ago, and on Sundays I have started going another longer way since I don’t need to rush home.  It’s beautiful as well, a little more “country” and farm-like than my other route.  I thought I would share some pictures I snapped today with my new phone.  Oh yeah, I got a new phone for Mother’s Day since mine was due for an upgrade.  Of course I found out early when Sawyer told me he and Dad were doing something special for me.  I said, “Oh really, what?”  And his reply was “I am getting your phone as a game phone!!!!”  I didn’t think he would actually answer me… but clearly he was too excited about getting my old phone.  When I said “Oh, so I am getting a new phone.”  He didn’t know what to say…. OOPS!

Anyhow, here are some pictures from this morning’s walk.

He he…. my shadow.

    Lovely post, Cassie!

I love the shots yot took, particularly the one showing rolling hills. I have never been to the US…but that shot looks like it could be in NZ, or Australia…it is nice to know the ‘other side if the world’ isn’t THAT different to this side!

What a great walk! You are very fortunate to have that as your exercise. My morning walks are just a double loop around my neighborhood.

Your walk looks like a dream. It reminds me of our time in the mountains which I love. Moving to your home seems like it was absolutely the thing to do.
