Home Tour Part 3

Let’s head into the bathrooms… Well the single full bath, and the half bath off our master.
Here is what the full looked like. I was mighty proud of the shelf I made out of an old soda crate!

We actually hired a pro to retile our floor (which was tiled with wall tile and all loose) and to install a new vanity cabinet. Here it is now… I love the look of it now!

ANd our half bath… There really isn’t too much difference between then and now, so I am just going to show you now. Has anyone painted tile? I was thinking of doing that in here to avoid having to drywall it over. I would love to have beadboard up the wall, and a funky gray and white wallpaper on top. But alas, this is what I have for now. We don’t want to invest in this room as we may eventually add on, so any ideas would be welcome. It is off our master which is grays, whites, and blues…

Cozy.Cottage.Cute thinks she has the ugliest light fixture in a half bath, but I am going to challenge her on that one!
I am off to teach spinning, but will be back later this evening with bedrooms!

Love the tour of the bathrooms. I know you can paint tile, because I have seen them do it on Designed to Sell on HGTV… LOL

We have this ugly, dated gray tile in one of our bathrooms.

Your full bath is lovely. A nice improvement over what it was previously.

Cassie the full bath turned out great! And I sort of like the “ugly” light fixture in the half bath… We are not doing much to our master bath either because we might build an addition in the future! I have been thinking about sprucing up a little though with paint etc.

That first bathroom is so stylish. I love the “1,2,3” jars in the other bathroom too. Oh, and I forgot to say how cool it is that your house is furnished on a budget with mainly pre-loved vintage pieces. It’s got so much soul because of that. LOVE!

I love the new, vintage tile in the full bath combined with the modern vanity. I just LOVE black and white in a bathroom. As for your Mater, the tile looks very similar to what we have in ours so I’ll be curious to see if/what you do to your tile. So far I’ve just bought towels to match and am not worrying about it. But I’d love to paint the tile if I could.

Hahaha, I still think I won the ugliest light fixture contest. Mine was bigger. Double the ugliness.

    🙂
    Your other bathroom looks great!

Love the changes in your bathroom. Looks great! We have those old round bulb fixtures in our bathrooms that EVERYONE has that bought a house in the 80’s. Ugly!!! Love & blessings from NC!

A1) I heard you can “reglaze” tile. B2) Where did you get that floor tile? it’s exactly what I want, but I can’t find any in my budget!

I grew up with that same light fixture – and I’m 55, so it must be “retro” by now!

I LOVE that light fixture! I wish I could take it off your hands for you. This is the teeniest powder room I believe I’ve ever seen. I thought mine was small (at 5′ x 7″) but it now seems palatial!
