I saw this idea over at Kimbo’s blog and thought it would be a great distraction from the packing I should be doing way to get to know me better! If you want to play along, simply copy and paste into your own blog and do the same for fun!
Making : plans for Sawyer’s birthday party next weekend, and also making as many plans as I can with friends before I leave.
Cooking : do egg whites count? I cooked those this morning. Other than that, don’t expect much brewing in my kitchen besides coffee unless Chris is cooking!
Drinking : too much wine. But it is so worth it! Had a great night out last night with friends at Crush in Annapolis.
Reading: Finished Sarah’s Key and need to pick a new book once we are out of this house. Probably the newest by Kristin Hannah.
Wanting: the parachute duvet cover from West Elm for my new bedroom. Dreamy.
Looking: obsessively at realtor and redfin every day hour minute.
Playing: Adele’s “Someone Like You”.
Wasting: as little as possible.
Sewing: nothing at the moment, but knowing I will be sewing new curtains and other items for our new house!
Wishing: I had a new house to sew for!
Enjoying: the last two weeks we have in this house, and my last moments at work at the gyms here. When we bought this house we had hoped to stay in it for maybe 5 years ant then upgrade. Now that we are actually leaving it, I am feeling a little sad for the 4 1/2 years of memories here. These are the moments my kids and I will always cherish, and these have been the years that have really formed the character of our family.
Praying: that Andrew or Grace will be a match for Cora. We find out Tuesday, which happens to be my birthday as well as Sawyer’s. And if there is one thing and only one thing I could have for my birthday this year, that would be it.
Waiting: for the perfect house for us. I saw a beautiful home this week in the area we want to be in, but it just wasn’t perfect for us. So I will keep waiting.
Liking: that soon apples and pumpkins will be ready for picking!
Wondering: what this house will look like when the new owner decorates.
Loving: my family. and my parents for letting us stay with them temporarily!
Hoping: for a smooth transition for my children.
Marvelling: at my children. I have been telling them often over the last couple weeks how wonderful they have been with all of this moving stuff. They have come to view many houses with us, and they can find something to love and be excited about in every house. One of my favorite memories from house-hunting was when we were in a 1920 farmhouse with a dirty unfinished attic space . Sawyer saw it and said, “I want this to be my room!!!”
Needing: to relax and let things happen as they are supposed to.
Smelling: gross. I need to shower.
Wearing: cropped pants and an old H & M shirt.
Following: my dream to where it leads me.
Noticing: wrinkles around my eyes.
Knowing: that I am doing the best I can.
Thinking: about my dogs being in the kennel indefinitely, which makes me sad.
Bookmarking: some beautiful dreamy white and gray rooms. 🙂
Opening: the tub of roasted red pepper hummus. Yum.
Giggling: about Emmy’s dance performance at gymnastics camp yesterday to “Wake Me Up Before You Go Go”. Videos coming as soon as Chris uploads it for me.
Feeling: Overwhelmed. It’s been a very emotional two weeks and I am overwhelmed by friendship and love. And also overwhelmed by all I need to do in the next two weeks. Breathe.
Ok, Enough about me! Let’s get to POWW Faves!
How awesome is this pirate flag dresser from Daze of Grace? Love it.

I am sooo in love with this coffee table from the Cre8tive Outlet and would loooove to have one for my new home. 🙂 Look at those legs!!!
