Is it Spring Yet? Because I am Ready!

It may not be Spring yet, but I am so ready…. for warmer weather, flip flops, skirts, flowers!  Our tulips and daffodils have ust started popping up this past week  It’s  a sign!  And I took down my Valentine’s decor, but with Easter so far away this year I thought I would just bring in some Spring color.  Tuesday, my friend Andi came over for lunch, a playdate, and some crafting!  She made this adorable birdnest ring!

I made some pom-pom flowers after seeing the idea over at Suzanne’s blog last week.  I thought it was an adorable idea, and these flowers don’t need any water!  So I used them to Springify my entry, which looked like this for Valentine’s Day.

Now it looks like this… (oh, and you may notice some new hoots!  I found the little pair of Salt & Pepper shakers at a thrift store for $3, and I found the kind of silly looking guy at the same shop for $.50.  I like his silly and whimsical touch).

Oh, and speaking of changing things up to get ready for Spring, I ditched the pigtails yesterday for a much more Spring-ready look!  And remember, I am awful at self-shots!!!

Ok, and this is the worst picture ever of me, but I thought it was pretty funny… my first attempt at showing you the back of my hair, and I totally didn’t realize my big noggin would be up close in the shot- oops!  Thought I would end this post with a laugh at myself!

I love the new haircut! I had to do a double-take ’cause when I looked at the first picture of you, all I could see is this gal:

Your hair is so stinking CUTE! It looks like the perfect cut for you.
I like your little pom pom flowers, too. Very springy! The brown owl reminds me of something…maybe the tootsie pop owl?
We still have awhile before we get spring. We had snow today. With thunder. It was weird.

You totally crack me up! I love your hair! I like the pig tails too though. I can’t believe you have tulips and daffodils starting to bud. Since we still have two feet of snow on the ground, I don’t know if we’ll ever see that day….

The pom pom flowers are great. Just the perfect pop of color. Your owl collection is growing by the minute and is looking good! Did I leave anything out? You covered a lot in this post…LOL!!

    Take care,
    Lisa

The new owls are super cool, too! I’m still on the lookout for those bookends. I’ll probably never find another set. But, if I do, I know what color to paint them and who to give them to!

You’re gorgeous, love the new haircut! 😉

It’s funny that Katie says you look like Vera Farmiga because I happen to think you resemble Katie Brown in her younger years – photo: http://as.cornell.edu/academics/careers/explore/munschauer.cfm

Anyway, Great arrangement. I’m ready for spring also!
