It Must Be the Luck of the Irish!

March 14, 2011 by Cassie 22 Comments

Well, technically I am only an eighth Irish, but it must be enough!  Because I have won a few giveaways lately and am feeling like a lucky gal.  I will show you the others as they come, but I was so excited today when my favorite UPS man showed up at my door!  Aside from the fact that he had a package for me, he is also very friendly and works out at one of the gyms I teach at.  So we have rapport.  And did I mention he had a package for me???  You want to know what was in there?  Getting there, just hang on…

Back in January or maybe February I won a giveaway for a CSN credit from Sara at Russet Street Reno.  I could not decide what to get.  I hemmed and hawed, and my gift code expired on March 1, 2011, so it said.  So I procrastinated, decided, and went to use it on March 1st.  The screen read, “Expired Code”.  What???  It couldn’t be??  I assumed it was like a coupon where I had through that day to use it.  I emailed Sara and she was kind enough to email her CSN contact who in turn was kind enough to reissue me a code.  Lesson learned- don’t procrastinate!!!  Oh, and by the way, if you haven’t seen Sara’s blog.  Run there RIGHT NOW.  Here is some eye candy to lure you that way…

See what I mean?  Her home is beautiful!  I am in love and would like to move in!
Ok, now would you like to know what I ordered from CSN?  With Spring coming, my kids love to eat out on our back deck.  And I don’t like dragging breakable dishes out there- it makes me nervous!  So I ordered a set of Thomas Paul melamine sea life dishes.  I ordered a set of the dinner plates as well as a set of the dessert plates, which actually are perfect kid sized plates.  Here they are!  Oh, and Swyer who stayed home but is on the mend today, let out an “AWESOME!”  when he saw them!  So the kids approve!

And as if that wasn’t enough luck, the mail had a couple good things in it for me today, too!

Happy Monday!  (Kind of an oxmymoron, I know).

Ooooooh, those plates are super awesome (& if you want to eat in your bathroom, they will match the you-know-what that you ordered – and yes, I do think food in the bathroom is eeew). I hope I get some mags today too ๐Ÿ™‚

Love the plates! I used the CSN credit you sent my way this weekend and bought some canvas boxes for my closet and some paintable wall paper for a project. It was so hard to decide what to get because they have SO MUCH STUFF!!! Thanks again for doing the giveaway! It was really fun to win it!

Cool plates! They’ll be perfect for summer dinners outside. (That green turtle plate looks just like our turtle. My husband keeps threatening to make soup out of him)

I didn’t know those codes expired that fast. Good to know, though.

OoOoh! Lucky girl! I love Sarah’s blog. And your plates are adorable! I did the same thing with a CSN code. lol Procrastinated until the very last minute and had to do the whole shebang but lesson learned. I love CSN too – HUGE selection makes choosing so hard. Fun place to check prices/selection when shopping around though! ๐Ÿ™‚

    Enjoy your winnings!
