Hey guys and happy Wednesday! Looks like a post a week, if that, is all I am going to manage these days. With the end of school this week, we’ve been so busy with all of the activities it includes as well as dance recital, soccer tournaments for both kids, band and choir concerts, plus toting a now 6 week old along to all of that. This coming weekend is our June Sweet Clover sale, so I wanted to share with you some photos of our space. (Also I wanted to mention it’s Sweet Clover’s annual yard sale, so there will be loads of great deals outside as well as some furniture marked down inside!) Katie and I created a sort of rustic midcentury Americana look with blues, woods, whites, and even a touch of red which happens to be our joint least favorite color. 😉 However, it’s good to work outside of your comfort zone sometimes and create a vibrant splash. We’ve been working together quite well and it’s fun to see our two styles merge into one seamlessly. We also split duties, and as you will see in this post, Katie is a much better photographer than I am so she’s our designated space photographer. I can dust like a mother, so I’ve got that job. 😉 Really, it’s the only other shared duty that we needed complete, so I took it. Hope you enjoy the glimpse into our June Sweet Clover sale space, and thanks to Katie for sharing her photography with me!
The entrance to our space is flanked by some vintage lockers Katie found as well as a coastal blue empire style dresser she recently refinished.
On top of the blue dresser we stacked several books and other vintage finds, all layered in front of a vintage UK flag I found last summer.
Next to the lockers we stood a shutter Katie found and hung some of my vintage art and pennants on. I recently painted that navy tool box on top as well.
Just behind the navy dresser we’ve stacked two pieces… a gray and wood dresser Katie finished and my coastal blue and wood midcentury dresser.
In the back corner on this wall sits the coolest pagoda style red metal vintage shelf Katie found! If I was a red person, I’d be coveting it for my own home!
Katie had time one day while I wasn’t there to work on the space and did a beautiful job styling the shelves with our vintage finds.
Along the back wall we’ve stacked my white and wood midcentury dresser with my white and gold midcentury dresser.
Katie brought in a gorgeous sleek midcentury hutch that completes our little unintentional midcentury white and wood corner.
My own black hutch, which I have yet to share as a makeover (oops!) sits in another corner, and we’ve styled it with a set of red vintage encyclopedias I found. I’ve marked the hutch down for the sale!
I’ve also marked down this bright blue dresser, perfect for a boy’s room.
Atop the dresser sits a cute little plant stand I found recently. I staged it with shoe forms… why not?
In the center of our space sits the dining table I refinished, and a fabulous chippy bench Katie found just like that with a great vintage picnic basket filled with all of its accoutrements.
Like I said, neither of us are red people, but we’re both really happy with how the space came together, even with red! 😉
