Leap!

Last week I told you all that I had a little project up my sleeve, and I wasn’t sharing yet.  Nothing at all is set in stone, but I have started to set wheels in motion, and am hoping for the best possible outcome.  So I wanted to fill you all in, because I am sure some people may be wondering, and because I could use all your positive wishes!

I have a fabulous opportunity to actually fulfill one of my three wishes I made last month on Ten June.  I had NO intention of exploring this avenue any time soon, but sometimes things just happen and fall into place.  The wish I am referring to is to have my own personal chef! be a shop owner!  There is a chance for me to share a shop.  Yippee!!!!

But there is a catch… and the catch would involve this…

and some of this…
slc movers

So I have been meeting with a realtor here and talking about what we need to do to sell our home.  We are going to try to get it on the market and move…. wish us luck!!!

It is not too far, so Chris would be able to maintain his job, but it is far enough  that I can’t do it, and stay here.  And I will most likely never be able to own a shop here as real estate and rent here is just way too much for me.

I have very mixed emotions, but in my heart this leap is something I want to make.  I want to go for it!  I need to try.  And hello, I am not going to lie— the thought of a new-to-me home to decorate is exhilirating!

But on the flip side, the thought of being a little farther from my parents, and leaving behind all the wonderful friends I have made here, and the awesome schools here, is saddening.  Like I said, it is not too far and there will still be birthday parties, and loads of visits with those friends and family, but it’s still hard to think about leaving.

So I wanted to fill you in, and also just let you know to bear with me!  We have some work to do to get our house ready, and we are hoping to get it on the market some time in July.  My fingers are crossed, and I knew that everything happens for a reason.  I am just hoping it is meant to be!

Sounds like a great opportunity and you certainly have the talent to pull it off! Moving is huge, but maybe you just put your house on the market and see what happens? no committment to do that until you sign…maybe you don’t sell and then the answer is easy or if you have offers, you can persue. You have no committment and don’t have to move so the ball is in your court. I am contemplating a move too although not far. Hope you can figure it out! We moved 3 hours north due to ministry and we have no family here although our church family has becoem our family and it was the best move we ever made! Many good things could come!

That is the most exciting and happy news. I’m genuinely from the bottom of my heart happy for you!!

Your friends will always be there, the kids are young enough to go to another school, but if if wasn’t worth the risk of this life changing moment, it wouldn’t be worth it at all. And your family needs you to feel that different sort of happiness that you can only get when somone loves and buys your furniure!! They will sense that self gratification you feel and be better for it, I know it.

I’m very proud, impressed, and in awe of you (yet again). What a blessing!

Oh wow Cassie that is so exciting! I am guessing you are moving to a smaller town? Good on you, I hope your house sells quickly and I am looking forward to seeing your shop up and running! We have our house on the market right now too, as we have made a huge decision that involves a BIG move, and one that I am hoping results in me opening my own shop too. There has been more big earthquakes here today, and I am so over it, our move can’t come soon enough for me!

I know what you mean about the reservations you have about moving. My husband and I have discussed moving, too. It wouldn’t be a good time right now, but if the right opportunity came up, what then? What we decided is this~when opportunity knocks, we can’t be picky about the details or it turns into ingratitude.

You are definitely up to all of the challenges this new opportunity presents!
