This past week has been a busy one between my brother’s visit, Emmy’s ear infection, field day at school, and meetings to get the barn going…. Not too much time for projects, so not too much to share at the moment. I thought I would give you a little peek into my house and life this week….
The chandelier from Lamps Plus is hung in the dining room….
The peonies are almost done blooming, which makes my gnome very sad. He hides it will with his concrete smile.
Goodbye forever mustard yellow formica. It was good while it lasted, but you are just so stuck in the past.
Emmy at Dr. Seuss themed field day, sharing the book “Fox in Sox”. I call this picture, Emmy in Cheetah Socks. This was taken shortly before the heat mixed with medicine made her feel horrible… I took her home for a couple hours to get some rest, but then she wanted to go back!
Still hanging on to some peonies on my mantle…
I bought someone I love a little present at a fabulous shop in downtown Frederick. I just need to get it in the mail. That someone may be reading this post and wondering if it’s for her….
Emmy made this last month at school and I hung it on the inside of the front door… I love it!
Here’s how I looked after only an hour at field day on a very hot day!!! I was supposed to help for a few hours, but since I had to take Emmy home, that didn’t happen. And see that awesome ceramic turtle? Sawyer made it in art. I will treasure it forever!
A reminder to my kiddos…
Oh, and did I mention the countertops are going in? And the new sink? And faucet? Shiny! Pretty!
Oh, and guess what? As of last night, the countertops were totally installed, and the kitchen was in decent enough order for a picture. So here you go… it’s getting there and I am so happy with it so far! And so is Jake.
And once we got past the cold spells, I finally put some shade annuals in my ladder and sap bucket flower pots.
That’s what has been going on around here? How about you? Do you have any fun weekend plans? I will be going to Emmy’s soccer game, taking her to a couple birthday parties, hitting the Frederick Art Festival, hanging out with friends, having the neighbor sleep over, walking with friends, and cleaning up at the barn. No, it’s not going to be too busy or anything… 😉 Never a dull moment, but I wouldn’t give up a moment! Enjoy your weekend, friends!
