Looking Back on Last Year’s Goals, Last Chance Giveaways, and POWW Faves!

Yes, I am going to cram a lot into this one little post!
First of all, Happy New Year!!!!  I truly hope that 2011 brings you much happiness, health, and love.  I am currently sitting on my chaise, still in my pj’s after celebrating last night and actually making it past midnight, and I can hear birds outside.  It feels like a new day, a new year, a new start, and I am ready for it!  Last year I wrote a post with my goals for 2010, so I thought I would reflect on that and see how I did.  I am going to be writing some new goals for the new year in the next week, but not today.  Today I just want to relax. Here are my goals and my comments reflecting back.
1. Run or Yoga once a week: I have succeeded in running much more this year, about once a week.  Yoga didn’t happen, and frankly, I don’t know if it will this year either.  It’s one of those things I know is good for me, but I don’t like it.
2. Drink more water: Yes!  I am proud to say I am averaging 64 oz of water a day.  I wasn’t doing this all year, but finally it’s become a habit and I even stopped drinking Diet Coke!  Bonus!
3. Work on little projects around the house: I have succeeded in doing some of the things I set out to do, but if I finished them all, what would I blog about?  More to come this year for sure!
4. Be a better blogger: I would say I have succeeded here, mainly due to the fact that I figured it out and finally really understood blogging, the community, link parties.
5. Get a logo and new business cards: Yes!  that was completed in the beginning quarter of the year, and I am ecstatic with my new logo!

I am happy that I have succeeded in most of my goals from last year.  Let me just say that the key in that is setting realistic goals that you know you can do!  And give yourself time- work on one at a time, rather than slamming yourself in January and then feeling down on yourself in February when you didn’t succeed. I didn’t succeed in the water one until the last part of this year, but I did it- finally!  Have you got goals in mind for this year?

Also, a quick reminder, don’t forget about all the giveaways from this week!  If you scroll down the page you will see them all listed in my sidebar in the months history.  Enter enter!  TODAY IS YOUR LAST CHANCE!  Also, I am closing in on 1000 followers, so once that number is reached you can expect another giveaway from me!

Now onto POWW faves, a little eye candy, and a little less wordy!  With the holidays here, it was a smaller party, but still hard to pick faves with all the uber-talent out there!  I loved all of the projects this week, but a few were child themed, and I loved that!  I love the colors and the playfulness and whimsy.  So without further ado, here are this week’s faves, all intended for children.

Love this play kitchen by Kendra at House of Ficek.  The colors are so fun, and Santa delivered it Christmas morning for her little man!  How awesome is that!

Sarah, aka The Thriftress, also linked up a play kitchen she designed for her children, in a bright cherry red!

And finally, Yanet from 3 Sun Kissed Boys, linked up this wonderful art table that she finished, painted, and added inspirational words to by stamping them into the wood…. it’s plain awesome!

OK, that’s all for now!  I am off to laze on my chaise some more!  Maybe I’ll get up for some coffee soon.  Maybe.  Happy New Year, and again, I can’t say it enough, thank you for all of your support, kind words, comments, and friendships over the last year.  I really am looking forward to 2011!
