Modern Boho Ceiling Fan in Our Master Bedroom

Modern Boho Ceiling Fan

Over the course of the past few months, our home’s ceiling fans have had a Huntervention.  We’ve replaced each bedroom ceiling fan with a modern, quiet, LED, remote-controlled beauty.  Each child has a style of his or her own, and we were able to find unique and beautiful fans that fit the vibes of their personal spaces.  Wilder got a small modern fan for what is his nursery and the smallest bedroom in our home; Emmy selected a sleek blush and copper beauty; and Sawyer got a black Pendleton ceiling fan that fit the rustic modern Americana style of his bedroom. When it came time to select the fan I wanted for my own bedroom, I knew exactly the look I wanted… I wanted a neutral modern boho ceiling fan in our master bedroom.  Luckily for me, Hunter fan had exactly the fan for me; in fact, it’s the same one we used in Sawyer’s bedroom, but it looks completely different in our room.  Are you ready to check it out?  Thank you so much to Hunter Fan Company for providing this fan. I was not otherwise compensated. This post contains affiliate links.

Would you believe this is the same exact fan that Sawyer has in his bedroom? Here’s a little refresher in case you’ve forgotten how it looked in his room.

Teen Boy Bedroom Ceiling Fan

We each have the Spider Rock fan by Hunter, but we each selected a different side of the fan blade. In Sawyer’s moody teen bedroom with lots of black and white and charcoal, the black and charcoal tone on tone side is just perfect.  However, with our bedroom’s earthy tones, such as that in the color block wall, the warmer neutral side of the fan blade makes more sense.

Now, let me take you back a bit to a time when this fan was not in my life.  As you can see, this photo was actually taken shortly after I painted our bedroom black and not much had been done in terms of decorating.  That is the fan I have artfully cropped out of most bedroom photos for the last year because it was such an eyesore… a wobbly, loud eyesore with ugly old light bulbs spiraling away from outdated frosted glass shades. There was just so much wrong here.Modern boho bedroom

Thank goodness for the Spider Rock fan! I truly feel like this fan was made with my bedroom in mind!  Although, in actuality, this fan was made first so perhaps my bedroom was made with this fan in mind.

You can see that this side of the blade has a wood gain look in a soft tan, black, a bit of charcoal, and a but of a burnt sienna kind of color which really brings out the color as well as the pattern of the wall.

Check out the beautiful detailing on these fan blades.

Of course, a couple of times a week, Sawyer and I snuggle in here and we watch our favorite show together, The 100.  The other night, Sawyer looked up and said, “Don’t you think you should have used the same side of the fan as me?”  I then explained to him that this side really worked perfectly with my bedroom.  He shrugged, and said, “I still think the black side would be better.”  Who knew teen boys would be so opinionated about design?!  Well, we can agree to disagree, Sawyer, because I still believe that this earthy patterned side is perfect in my space.

As with all of the other Hunter fans we have used throughout our home, this fan is loaded with awesome features.

  • Comes with remote control, which is fabulous for when you are laying in bed sweating but too tired to crawl out and adjust the fan.
  • Remote controls light, fan, speed, reverse direction.
  • 13 degree blade pitch for optimal air movement.
  • Includes LED light kit with painted white casing.
  • Includes LED bulbs.
  • Allows for standard, low, or angled mount.
  • Is ideal for ceiling heights of 8 feet or greater… Ours are just above 8 feet and this fan is perfect!
  • Comes with a limited lifetime motor warranty.
  • The blades are reversible to suit changing decor, and we all know I change my decor.
  • The whisper-wind motor moves air efficiently and quietly.

As you can see, I saved the best for last… how utterly quiet this fan is! All of our new Hunter fans have been so quiet, which is just lovely.  After living with fans that rocked and made us nervous that either they would motor on out of the ceiling and into our floor, or lift our ceiling and roof in the air, these quiet fans are a welcome change.

In addition to all of those fabulous functional features, this fan suits my style one hundred percent.  In the past when I’ve shopped for ceiling fans, the struggle has been real.  It’s been a challenge to find a ceiling fan that married function and aesthetic appeal, but the Hunter Fan Company has solved that problem in our bedroom, and actually our entire home for that matter.

Here’s a little trip down memory lane for you so you can see just how different our Hunter fans are, yet how perfectly they fit each space, while bringing the same amazing functionality to each room.

Wilder’s bedroom features the Minimus, a great modern fan for smaller spaces.

In Emmy’s bedroom, we have the Copper Norden, which has hints of blush and a washed finish, and a modern Scandinavian vibe.

Teen Girl Bedroom

Sawyer, as mentioned, has the Spider Rock fan that we also have.

And here it is again in our space, looking completely different.

I am so thrilled that Hunter was able to outfit our home with beautiful, high quality, efficient ceiling fans.  With the crazy warm weather we have had lately in North Carolina, we are already putting our fans in motion this winter that thinks it’s spring. (Seriously, my daffodils are coming up!) If you are looking to replace your outdated ceiling fans, I cannot recommend Hunter enough for their quality, service, and style.

I’m with you, we have several rooms with ceiling fans, however none are as cool and current as yours. I think Hunter made that one for you! We use our fans during several seasons. As far as opinionated teens…. one of my sons asked one time why I painted everything to look like old junk? He didn’t like it. Oddly now he has his own newly built house and yeah, he’s using bits and pieces of vintage stuff. He doesn’t think I’m crazy anymore.

Hunter makes the most incredible fans! And that is hilarious about your son!
