Hey there and happy Thursday! The weekend is so close now that I can feel it… can you? Tomorrow kicks off our March sale at Sweet Clover and I am super excited because I’ve moved into a much better space. My previous space was super awkward to access and a bit smaller, but I was happy that the owners made room for me to get in; if I didn’t take it, I would have been waiting a while! I am looking forward to having a little more space to play with as well as some other changes that might be happening here soon. 😉 Today I am just going to share a quick post to show you all my new space at Sweet Clover, ready for the March sale.
My new space is right next to the staircase, so I hope to have much better visibility! Even though it’s still fuh-reezing outside, I brought in little touches of spring. My favorite vignette is right at the entry of my space, featuring a bamboo bike planter as well as a trio of wall baskets I was so tempted to keep… but I need diaper money more than I need pretty wall baskets. 😉 I also added a little leather handled market tote I found, perfect for spring and summer shopping.
In the center of the space, I’ve placed a unique petite dining table and 4 black bentwoods you might recognize. To bring in the warmth of the wood pieces, I added amber goblets to my otherwise more springy table.
The rest of the table is set with blue and white dishes and several milk glass vases, which always seem to be perfect for this season.
The rest of the goblets are gathered on a sideboard, just in front of a couple of paint by numbers I have been hanging on to for this spring.
Above that sideboard, I’ve hung a beautiful bamboo mirror… if I had a place for this in my home! It’s really unique, well made, and gorgeous.
A new piece I painted and added this month is this vintage hutch. I love the way the colors play off of the black. It’s such a great piece and comes in two pieces, which is always a plus. I’ll be sharing a separate post about it soon…. as in when I get to it.
As much as I love my white day to day dishes, I actually have an entire rainbow of fiesta dishes as well… something about colorful dishes just makes my heart skip a beat. They’re so happy.
I also added a pair of cottage blue dressers to my space which bring in some nice vibrant color. To be honest, these actually have been in my family for years, and were once Sawyer’s in our old house. They’re well made maple pieces, but I just didn’t have a place for them anymore and they’ve been in my garage for a few years, so it was time to let go. I loved the blue color I had originally painted them, but added some character by distressing them. I hope they go to a sweet little boy somewhere.
I paired them with more amber glass and wood tones to keep it cohesive with the dining table.
These two stacked pieces I brought in last month or possibly even the month before, and they have yet to sell. I am hoping this new space arrangement helps! You can read about the midcentury one here, and the neoclassical piece here.
If you are local, I would love to see you this weekend! I am actually working both Friday and Saturday, pulling double duty in exchange for someone working for me at our May sale when I have a 2 week old baby to tend to. Please feel free to email me at [email protected] if you have any questions as well.
Cheers to a wonderful weekend and a great sale!
