Bridget has been a client of mine for a long time now! Recently I have shown you a couple of pieces I have custom painted for her, and when I went to her home I realized just how much of my “stuff” she had! And even more so, I was blown away with how beautiful her home was. She has done all the decorating herself, and her husband has done much of the handiwork, such as refinishing their lovely dark wood floors. She allowed me into her home today so I could give you all a tour. Be prepared- there are tons of pictures in this post, but it is all worth seeing! I told Bridget I think we should get Country Living or Better Homes & Gardens to shoot her home- don’t you think?
Here is the front of the house- isn’t it beautiful?
The rockers and swing both have fun punches of color with green cushions.
In the entry of the home is the first piece Bridget ever bought from me, so I think it is appropriately placed!
Off the entry is the formal living room, which features a beautiful original fireplace and mantle surround. And I am in love with that lamp and shade in the corner of the room!
The formal living room leads to one of my favorite rooms of the home, the formal dining room. The wallpaper is amazing. The French sideboard with chalkboard panels is another piece I did.
The dining room leads into a butlers pantry, where the cabinets are painted the prettiest dusty blue/gray/green color. And the backsplash is amazing!
And that leads us to the beautiful kitchen. This area of the home, the kitchen, family room, are all open plan and a more recent addition to the home. These areas feature the a beautiful soft blue on the walls.
Bridget did this little armoire herself! It’s a gorgeous shade of line green which ties in beautifull to her couch and the frames resting on the armoire.
This is the breakfast area of the kitchen, with the table and chairs I painted for her.
ooh, and I almost forgot to show you the beautiful backsplash!
and gorgeous countertops!
And another beautiful room- the family room! There is that coral table I did recently for Bridget! And how awesome is the coffee table?
The couch was a recent Christmas gift Bridget and her husband gave each other, purchased from Russell & MacKenna whose flagship store is here in Severna Park.
Gorgeous built-ins!
And I just love this cute little sign! For those that don’t know, our town is situated on the Severn River and most neighborhoods have beach access. My neighborhood has a couple beaches as well as a crabbing pier.
The guest room is located on the main floor as well, and features this mirrored coffee table I did a year or so ago.
The whole room is dreamy, creamy, and perfect for guests. Bridget’s parents frequently visit, so this is often their quarters.
The view from the bottom of the stairs…
Also downstairs in a quiet little corner is Bridget’s office. She is currently working on a big project at work, so the room is in working order, she wanted me to let you know. 😉 But I had to show you thse bold green walls- so fun! I could definitely be energized and productive in that room.
And the downstairs bathroom is a beautiful bold shade of pink… so glamorous!
And here, at the top of the stairs is where my most recent finished product for Bridget landed. I think it looks perfect there! The shot got slightly overexposed, so the color appears softer in the picture.
Down the hall leading to the girls rooms, fun artwork!
Lila’s room is fun and girly with beachy accents. I painted this dresser for Lila’s room.
As well as the little nightstand. And I think the octopus pillow is the cutest thing ever! It’s the perfect touch to that bed! Bridget told me they are still deciding what to do about a bed, as Lila, who is almost 4, has told her parents she wants 2 beds in her room.
The girls’ rooms are connected by a shared bathroom, and Georgia’s room is on the other side. Georgia has bunkbeds with fun colorful bedding, and the same soft pink walls.
Bridget painted this dresser a long time ago for Georgia. Isn’t it adorable?
And the joint bathroom is so fun and so girly! It’s perfect for the two princesses!
I didn’t do this little piece, but it’s so cute, I had to share it!
And as with most of us, we save our master bedrooms as the last projects- why is that? So Bridget’s master bedroom is not quite where she wants it to be. But what did I tell you? Is it not the most beautiful, soft, and colorful home? Thank you so much, Bridget, for allowing us a peak into your gorgeous home!
I am sharing this tour here:
