New Ceiling Fans in the Kids’ Rooms

This post is in collaboration with Lamps Plus, who provided the fans in this post.  I was not otherwise compensated and all opinions are my own.

As I mentioned a couple of weeks ago, although I love a gorgeous bedroom chandelier, in a Cape Cod in the south (hey, we are below the Mason- Dixon!) in the summer, a ceiling fan is an absolute necessity.  Give me cool air or give me death!  We’ve needed to update our ceiling fans since we moved in as they were all just downright ugly.  However, they still worked so we kept them up.  Eventually ours was only able to function on low, and the kids were complaining about how theirs weren’t working either.  It was time to update them for once and for all!  Thankfully, Lamps Plus offers tons of stylish and affordable options and we found some great new ceiling fans to hang in the kids’ rooms.

Sawyer wanted something dark and sleek, and I showed him the same fan I selected for my own room, the Casa Elite Oil-Rubbed Bronze LED Hugger Ceiling Fan.  He was happy with that choice, so I ordered.  Chris and I finally had the chance to hang it a couple of weeks ago, and it’s been life-changing according to Sawyer.  And now that Summer break is here, he sleeps in his boycave, enjoying the fan, until about 9 am.Tween Bedroom with Ceiling FanPinThis fan fits in perfectly with his manly space.  Well, as manly as a 10 year old boy can be.Tween BedroomPinWe are so slowly yet so surely making progress on his room.  I hope to have his tween room ready by the time he enters teenhood.  Maybe.  The major project will be creating built ins out of his book cases, which are currently at a lean as they need to be wall mounted.IMG_0026PinWe also have a headboard to add to the space, and we will get there!  But for now, I love how well the new fan fits into his room and also looks perfect, like it was meant for this space.IMG_0033PinEmmy wanted something funkier in her space and she knew she wanted white.  She selected the Casa Vieja Palm Fan, and it fits right in with her eclectic bedroom.Emmy's eclectic Room with Palm FanPinI love the way it pairs with her dresser… sort of Palm Beach style.  Or maybe Golden Girls Style, but either way I love it.Emmy's white dresserPinNow that everything looks so fresh and bright I think that chair stand needs a makeover, but black, white, gold, something else???Emmy's RoomPinEmmy loves her new fan so much and there have been no more complaints of “I’m hooooooooooooooot and I can’t sleep!”  Winning!Palm Leaf Ceiling FanPinIt was hot and humid here as I wrote this post, and I am so thankful that we finally changed out these outdated ceiling fans.  Everyone is sleeping more comfortably from their functionality, and I am sleeping more peacefully knowing I never have to look at the old wobbly fixtures ever again.

Thank you to Lamps Plus for providing me with these fans.  I was not otherwise compensated and all opinions are my own.

We just purchased a very old home and there are no ceiling fans currently — but we are definitely adding them to the bedrooms. They make such a difference when sleeping at night! Love the ones you picked out.
