Several years ago, I joined etsy and had plans to open a shop with all my finds. A lot has happened since then! I got a space at a store which led to owning my own store which led to selling my store. And now I am back to where I started and will be opening an etsy shop. It’s funny how that works, isn’t it? I’ve amassed several vintage items over the years, and decided it’s time. The irony of last week’s post about shopping is not lost on me, but the truth is that I am still spending less, and not shopping so much; and just because I am, doesn’t mean that you have to or even want to. Anyhow, I just wanted to get that off my chest. However, if you are trying to kick shopping like I am, then stop reading now! You have my permission.
Buuuuut….. if you do love vintage shopping and don’t plan on giving it up, I wanted to share with you some sneak peeks! I’ve spent the last couple days photographing, measuring, and weighing almost 50 items. Some you’ve seen in my own home and I’m trying to scale back on the stuff I have. My goal is to have the shop open by the end of January, and if you want to stay tuned you can add it to your favorites here. I’ve decided to keep the name of the shop as my own name, just like the blog, and have it all cohesive. Here’s a little peek at what it looks like:
And now, in case you are wondering what might be for sale, here’s a peek at some of the shop offerings coming soon!
You guys, it’s amazing how much inventory I’ve already hoarded in my basement stocked. I am not going to lie though, the figuring out of shipping scares me. I don’t want to overcharge, and I certainly don’t want to undercharge and lose money either. If you have any tips, I am all ears!
Hope you have a great weekend! We’re hosting 10 girls tonight, half of which are staying for a sleepover, to celebrate Emmy’s birthday. I have a bottle of recovery wine waiting for Saturday night and some ear plugs on hand. I’m ready. Happy weekend!
