Good morning! I am a little late getting this post up because I ended up playing rounds of Trouble, making turkey tacos with Emmy, and watching Kids Baking Championship with the kids last night (we recorded it from Monday). If you and your kids don’t watch Kids Baking, you need to! These kids are so creatively talented- I only wish I could taste what they are making! Move over Valerie Bertinelli… here comes your new hostess! Speaking of talented and creative kids, I’ve got a couple of those hanging around this house. And one in particular has so many diverse creative interests that come with tons of different accessories. We’re talking painting, drawing, writing, sewing, embroidery, jewelry making, cooking and baking, as well as fashion and design. With all of those hobbies, Emmy’s room needs to serve to store loads of stuff! So how do we go about organizing a kid who has everything? I am over at Furniture.com’s blog today sharing how we did just that.
Added shelving and perfect sized storage pieces go a long way.
We add storage to every available nook and cranny we can find, and we make sure that every odd and end has a place to go. Vertical space is not overlooked.
We also allow her space to display all of her creations and pieces of work.
Emmy and I spent a weekend getting everything in order so that she could find everything and also more easily clean up after herself. But if I am being honest, her idea of “cleaning up after herself” is somewhat different from mine.
