Our Holiday Living Room, Mantle; and Silver Link Party

A quick reminder to hop over to Freckled Laundry for today’s 12 Days of Christmas SILVER link party- your project must be silver, holiday, and paint related!  Thanks for participating!

Now, how about some holiday decor?  As a note, these pictures were taken before we got our tree yesterday, so I will add some new pictures when I have the tree decorated for you to see!
Here is our holiday living room and mantle…

Charlie and Jake get the stocking of isolation…. ha ha!  I just set it to the other side because it doesn’t go with the beautiful hand made stockings my mother-in-law needlepointed for each of us.  Chris’ is from when he was a baby, and mine was added when we were married, and then each of the kids.

A couple of vintage houses mixed with some newer ones and some sparkly trees.

Here is a better view of our stockings…

The bookcases are also decked out….

The kids made these for me and Chris with my mom’s help Thanksgiving weekend. 🙂

A cute little deer, and a vintage tree topper, and of course a sparkly pine cone…

 A vintage postcard….

And here is an adorable snowman I purchase off ebay a few years ago, and the plate we use for Santa’s cookies.

Emmy and I found the little penguin at Goodwill for $1, so he came home with us.  I have since found a deer as well that I painted white and will share later.

My parents gave me this adorable little holiday pillow.

And I made this banner and planned to hang it with my pom pom garland on the mantle, but with the stockings it was too much, so instead they hang in the big window.  I love it here because when I drive home I can see the 4 white stars in the window.

And there you have it!  I will be sharing the tree later this week!  I am getting so excited for Christmas and having so much fun making gifts.  I got together with my good friend, Sarah, aka the Thriftress for a fun night of crafting and wine Friday night and got a few items done I am excited to share once the surprise is over for the recipients!
Happy Sunday!

It’s all so pretty! And best of all, I love seeing the trees and branches outside of every window. It’s feels like you are surrounded by mother nature – the best decorator of all!

I am in love with that penguin and the pinecones… that is def my favorite shot! I need to take a few cues from your decor; I’m trying to de-burgandy all my Christmas decorations. I think I need less color but more sparkle!

Great Mantle!! I love that you finally get one that Santa can come through!! I’m sure it was a little difficult before with drywall and insulation so I’m sure he’ll appreciate that not to mention the cookies!!!

It looks so pretty and festive, Cassie! I love the needlepoint stockings. How special your MIL made those for each of you. I hang mine that my mom made me when I was a baby, too. It means the world to me. Sawyer and Emmy did a great job with the snowmen. How fun! That little penguin is adorable. I love it all!
