I was so excited when General Finishes contacted me to try out some of their new colors, including a gorgeous soft blue with a hint of green… Persian Blue.  I am a huge fan of their paints and find them to be of fabulous quality, so I was more than happy to try!  I waited for the right piece to try it on, and it came to me in the form of this clawfoot table I found at a yard sale….

I gave it a base coat of Paris Gray chalk paint and then went over that with Persian Blue General Finishes Milk Paint. (only one coat was needed of each).  I then distressed it all over, using my orbital sander.  Finally, I gave it a clear wax to finish it off!  Here it is in my driveway….

And here it is set up in Sweet Clover beautifully staged by Relish Decor!

I don’t know about you, but I pretty much love the new color from General Finishes!  Have a great Wednesday!

It is absolutely gorgeous! I just bought my first can of GF in Lamp Black. A little nervous about using it since I’ve only ever used ASCP and wasn’t sure what kind of prep to expect with GF. So, I’ll use Graphite as base coat then Lamp Black as top coat. Thanks for sharing your process, Cassie. You rock! 🙂

I love this table Cassie, the color is perfect. Do the chairs go with the table? If not, is it difficult to sell a table without chairs?

Did you take the legs off and paint them and the base and the top separately or did you just leave it together and paint it that way?

I had to take it apart to transport it, so I just left it apart to paint it, but I have done pedestal tables both ways.
