A few years ago I made one of my favorite Christmas decorations. It was way back yonder, before I ever even knew what a blog was, so I don’t have a before picture. But I started with a vintage cake pan that looked like this:
I spray painted it with a soft green spray paint called “Praire Grass” that could be used on metal. Once it was dry, I used brush on craft glue (though nowadays I would use Mod Podge) and brushed it onto the boughs. I added a white glitter to the glue so that it would look like snow on the boughs. Once it was all dry, I added a coat of spray polycrylic, just to make sure it would be well protected and last for years to come. It is currently sitting on top of my china cabinet, next to a cute miniature silver wreath.
