First of all, I wanted to let you know that next week’s party will be a little different.  We are going to be sharing our BEST furniture projects of 2011.  You may link up 3 different projects, but it is a chance for you to share your favorites from the year!  I will share my absolute favorite piece with you, too.

THIS WEEK IS JUST AS USUAL!! (There appears to be confusion!)

Now, you may remember this dresser I painted this past summer.  Well it sat and sat, so it was time to redo it.

I am sharing all the details of smooth hole filling and repainting over at The DIY Club today!  Check it out- I used a new to me wood filler that I really liked that dried a little faster than others I have used.  Here is the final result…. wait for it… shocking… it is…. RED again!  It’s a different red – a little more vibrant!

It still has yet to sell, but I love it more.  That has to count for something. 🙂  Click on my DIY Club button on the sidebar to see all my projects over there!

Now, let’s see what you have been up to this week!

RULES:
1. FURNITURE PROJECTS ONLY.  I do delete crafts and those that are not furniture, but it makes my skin crawl to have to be the bad guy.  Don’t make me do it…
2. No Etsy shops or the like.
3. Must be a new project here that has never before been linked here.
4. Place my button or a text link in your post or sidebar.
5. Leave others some comment love!!!!

Party on!

Love the dresser, and great idea to switch the pulls to knobs. I never would have thought to do that. It really gives it an updated look.

    Hey Cassie,
Congrats on winning some fun prizes! I’m jealous…I never win anything. 🙁 Maybe I’ll get lucky in 2012.
I linked up my dining chair slipcovers at 31 and I really hope they qualify as furniture. Feel free to delete if not. I promise I won’t spread nasty rumors about you if you do…lol! Have a very wonderful Christmas Holiday!

Piece of Work Wednesday Furniture Link Party Number 54!

September 20, 2011 by Cassie 17 Comments

Thank you so much for all the anniversary well wishes today!  Chris is actually working late today, so we had an early celebration Sunday that included wine and sushi, two of our favorite things!

Also, I wanted to update you on the healthy whole wheat muffin recipe I shared yesterday.  My kids have been devouring the ones I added chocolate chips to.  Last night instead of a cookie, or M&M’s or ice cream, Sawyer chose a muffin for dessert.  So the recipe meets with the kid stamp of approval for taste and the mom stamp of approval for nutrition!

And now the reason we are here…
Again, my actual makeover for this week can be found at The DIY Club, but I will show you the quick version of the before and after here.   But if you head over there you will get the full how-to!

I has two gold plastic mirrors that needed an update… one of which will reside in the new house, but I will decide when I get there!

I gave them a little update suited more to my style and colors…

And I think this one might be the one that makes a home in my new home….

To check out this as well as any other DIY Club projects, click on the button…

Ok, YOUR TURN!  Remember, there are rules, and I like my rules.

1.  Your post MUST be a FURNITURE makeover or build.
2. Must be new here…. doesn’t have to be a new post, but new to my party.
3. Add my button or a text link to your post or sidebar.
4. Must be a follower here to party here.
5. NO etsy shops.
6. Leave some comment love for the others!

Party on!

First, I will say I am so sorry for the THREE links! For some reason, I kept getting a reject message! I didn’t realize it would finally go through..arg.
Secondly, and most importantly, keep your chin up! I will pray for the family/agent to allow for the preoccupancy, so that you can get settled with your family. Also,I believe God has something better in store for your shop than the place you were planning to go! You are very talented! Hang in there and you will see!! Life certainly throws us curve balls! I ‘met’ you over at CSI when I submitted the ‘tree house’ and you so graciously picked as your favorite summertime activity! Take care and blessings, Christie at Three Pixie Lane
