About a month ago, I won a giveaway at Infarrantly Creative for a vinyl word definition created by Say it on the Wall. I could choose from several definitions, but I knew right away that I wanted to get “Play” for my kids playroom.
I started with a piece of birch wood in 2′ x 2′ x 1/2″. I had painted it in an attempt to make a Christmas decoration that was probably best suited for regretsy, so I am not sharing that picture. I would lose all followers immediately. Instead, you only get the after. I painted the board over with DecoArt Tomato Red paint. The I used a DecoArt white paint and very lightly dry brushed the board and hit the edges a bit to give it a slightly worn look. Then I added the vinyl. Easy Peasy. My kids are thrilled with their new artwork! I will show you the art on the wall, but I will not show you the rest of the room, as the kids have been defining “play” all over this room.
