Happy Saturday! 12 years ago today, on a farm in North Carolina, a beagle was giving birth to a litter of puppies. One month later, I would see the ad in the paper for pure bred beagle puppies and call the number to set up a time for Chris and I to come that weekend (Chris lived 4 hours away from me at the time, but he was going to be visiting that weekend.) When I called the owner, she would tell me that she had but one puppy left- clearly, I could not wait for Chris. I hopped in my car that day, and I took Charlie home.

Charlie has travelled all over the US with us…. from Charlotte, NC to Nashville, TN, to Memphis, TN, to Austin, TX, to New Orleans, LA, to Slidell, LA, to Severna Park, MD, and now to Myersville, MD. He is a sweet boy (except when he’s peeing on my rug!) who always loves to snuggle, loves to be scratched behind his ears, and can usually be found under my feet at night or during a storm. Happy 12th birthday, Charlie! I hope you have many more, because as much as I complain about you, my heart is full of love for you.
Yesterday Gwen and I met up with Jill and hit some thrift shops and then met up with Andi, too, for a yummy lunch at the Main Cup in Middletown, MD. We found some great thrifty items (I scored an awesome pair of orange lamps!) and hada great time gabbing over good food. After lunch, we hung out at my house for a bit, and of course got a picture…..
Of course, Gwen had a hard time being serious (and my camera was not exactly pointing in the right direction!)

After all the fun (and the bottle of wine we emptied Thursday night!) Gwen and I laid low last night and got some rest. This morning we are hitting some yard sales together before she heads home. Then my family is off to Sawyer’s soccer game.
Anyhow, let’s check out my personal favorites from this past week’s party! Hello, A game, people! That’s all I have to say about that. You will understand when you see the faves.
