First of all, thank you so much for all the positive plumbing thoughts… it will not be repaired until Tuesday, but at least it will be and it’s not too major. 🙂
Hope you have all had a great week and enjoyed gorgeous weather like we have here. Yesterday I was inside a good bit of the day, volunteering in Emmy’s class, taking the kids to dentist appointments, and then to Tae Kwon Do. When we returned home, Emmy and I headed out with Jake for a pre-dinner walk to one of our favorite spots, while the boys stayed home and grilled shrimp. Here are a couple pictures from our walk…
I made her walk up a big hill before we headed to the secret spot. She brought bags to collect a rock and dirt specimens for a school science project.
And here we are, triumphantly having reached our spot!
We love to walk to this spot… it’s so peaceful and pretty! And Jake likes to get a cool drink. 😉
We returned home to dinner just about ready, and sat out on the porch to eat, enjoying the beautiful night. I have been waiting for these nights. And I am looking forward to many more.
I decided to give it a Provence chalk paint makeover and keep it simple, as I could see this piece in a girl’s room. I gave it two coats, lightly distressed it, and waxed it. And voila!
Now, guess what I am off to do? NOTHING. I have nothing pressing today, nothing to tend to… I am taking an early morning walk with some friends, and then I plan to relax, paint, do whatever floats my boat today! I hope you all have a fabulous day as well, and I hope you get to do at least one thing today that is just for you.
