Put Some Spring Into Your (Front) Step with Pier 1

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Pier 1 for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

I am so excited that Spring will be here by the end of the week!  I don’t know about you, but I have had enough of the gray, cold days.  My tulips are starting to pop up, letting me know it’s time to start taking care of the front yard and giving it some love, attention, and color!  What better way to get ready for Spring than by taking a trip to Pier 1?

My plans for this Spring include updating our front entry and making it happy, bright, and welcoming.  I am loving these fun green frog planters!  How cute would they be greeting guest on either side of my front door?  Not to mention my kids would just love them!

I also love this half round doormat, that is full of color.  I am thinking of repainting my door blue, so this would tie in beautifully.  Not to mention, the price is right at only $13.56.  You know I love a good bargain!

The other plan I would like to put into action this Spring is creating a little area where I can sit and sip coffee (or maybe margaritas, depending on the time of day!) with my girlfriends while the kids ride their bikes in the street in front of the house.  Right now we don’t have any chairs out there, but I think a little set of two chairs and a table would be ideal.  I would love to put these chairs out front- they stack conveniently, so I could actually get more than two in case other people come over.  And they would store nicely during the winter, or I could bring them inside to use at our dining table for a little color!

This table would be perfect because it’s just the right size to set a couple drinks on, and again would store nicely in the winter.  Sunflowers were my favorite flower when I was in high school, and they still make me happy… How can anyone not love their bright yellow petals?

And of course, we all know that entertaining outside isn’t complete without the right dishes.  In the morning, sipping coffee, these bright floral mugs are perfect.  I also love that they come with a stand to stack them for storage, and it makes carrying them all outside in one piece easier.

For those nice summer evenings where the sun stays out til 8:30 pm, and the neighbors sometimes mill around, the pitcher of margaritas or sangrias and some glasses to share would be perfect  This set caught my eye, because I am always a blue and green girl at heart.  I may stray sometimes, but those colors always call me back.

I think that pretty much covers my front yard entertainment makeover!  What about you?  What do you need for your Springification?  Sign up for the Pier 1 Outdoor newsletter and you will receive a special in store offer to use March 18th through March 20th.

Also, did you know about the upcoming Pier 1 Tweetups?  They will be taking place in Dallas on March 22, in Atlanta on April 5, and in NYC on April 20.  Be sure to check them out!

I love getting fun accents at Pier 1. It’s been a while though since our local shop closed but on occasion, I’ll make the 30 min. drive. 🙂 Great finds, Cassie!

Girl, I wish you could be my neighbor! You’d fit right in with the margarita pitcher! The stackable cups are so pretty and practical. Duh, winning!

Love Pier One too. I saw some super cute scrub brushes shaped like women (scrub brush part was the hair) on their website earlier today. They will be in my kitchen tomorrow night!

Did someone mention margaritas?? Count me in! I was going to stop in today and didn’t have time. I love that door mat. I want to paint my door a blue too. Something that will go with my light colored red brick.
