Random Tidbits

Happy Monday!  Now that Emmy is at home and out of school, I am getting much less accomplished and have less to share with you.  But I do have some points of interest to share tonight!  And I also have something up my sleeve that I hope to be able to tell you all about soon.  For now, you will just have to wait on that.

So, you may remember that I donated some items to Kelli of Restore Interiors for Restore Alabama, a tornado relief project she for which she was raising money.  Well, what a small world it turns out to be.  Annie, the woman who placed the winning bid, lives 10 minutes from me!!!  When Kelli sent me the shipping address I was floored!   I emailed Annie and arranged a drop off.  No one was home, but I left it today on her front porch.  And since I didn’t have to ship anything, I even snuck in a signature white owl.  Annie, thank you so much for supporting Kelli’s wonderful cause!  And enjoy your goodies!

I have been meaning to tell you about this for a while now….  I have a newish consigner!  Amy from A Perfect Tin!  She and her cousin make the most amazing antique ceiling tin mirrors and frames!  And the price is phenomenal- they are $120 each, frame or mirror, and can be custom finished for you.  I love the unique style of their frames… they are gorgeous!!!  See for yourself!

Pretty awesome, right?  I love how the tin curls out to reveal the photo or mirror.  Amy is also a very talented painter and is working on some awesome pieces for the website.

And lastly, Nicole from Home for Hire, who also owns the etsy shop, Dulcitas, emailed me last week to see if I had any of my vintage floral buntings left from Lucketts.  And if so, would I be interested i a trade for something in her shop…. Yes, and yes!!! We really needed some new coasters.  Chris likes to have a drink on his nightstand, and we needed something fun for our room.  So I chose the bunting coasters… a bunting for bunting coasters! ๐Ÿ™‚  Aren’t the colors just perfect in my room?  Love them!

And Nicole was so sweet and added this little guy to the package!  I think he may be getting a makeover soon!

So there you have it!  Little random tid bits from me.  Tomorrow morning I am off to Sawyer’s school to do some facepainting, then gymnastics, and then an important meeting!  And then of course, I will be back here for POWW.  See you then…. can’t wait to see what you have been painting, refinishing, and  more!

I always love creative uses for ceiling tin, and the coasters are very unique. Funny though, I’m most interested in seeing what you do with the owl.

That’s a great mirror! The coasters are really cute, too.

How nice that you didn’t have to ship anything! Just dropping it off sounds so much easier.

I think I am starting to develop an affinity for owls and it’s all your fault! Bought another one yesterday and had it sprayed white within 10 minutes of getting home! Talked about it on my blog today. Wonder if indeed it is you rubbing off on me?? lol
