I know I said I would be away all weekend and not back til tonight, but I have a couple hours before I have to head off to CPR, so I thought I would share last night’s festivities with you.
So last night, I brought some items to my girlfriend Sarah’s house as she was hosting an art sale for her mom, and also selling some aprons she just started making. She had invited me to sell there as well. It was not a very busy night (Sarah had done it previously in the fall with much success), but I had so much fun hanging out, drinking wine, eating good food, and seeing Sarah’s mom’s art in person. Here on out, “Sarah’s mom” will be referred to as Kris Taylor. Kris resides in Richmond, VA, and does beautiful work- etchings, oil paintings, jewelry. I just wanted to share some photos tonight of her work. Out of everything, I love her oil paintings the most. The colors she uses are so vibrant, and the paintings just pop!
this is my favorite painting! LOVE it!!! |
Sarah’s adorable aprons- she has matching sets for Mommy & me! |
And like I said, I didn’t sell much, but I was in good company! |
So go visit Kris’ site for some fantastic color inspiration and beautiful eye candy!
And again, a special thanks to Ali of My Third True Love for sending me “Butterflies of Hope”. Even with it being slow, I sold 4 of those and only have a couple left! All proceeds go to Juliet’s care.
What’s more, in case you didn’t read it eariler, I want to send a huge thank you to all of those who have been sending positive thoughts and prayers out to Juliet. Good news was received a couple of weeks ago and the cancer count in her little almost 5 year old body was ZERO!!!! It couldn’t have been better news!!! She will still have to continue treatments and medications, but not as extreme. Juliet is a fighter, a beautiful child with a beautiful spirit. And I believe in the power of positive thinking, and I want to thank you all because I truly believe that each and every one of you had something to do with the good news she received. I wish I could take a jaunt around he country to personally thank you all, but this will have to do for now.
Patricia sent me this video of Juliet singing to her baby brother, and I just thought it was too sweet not to share.
