Seeing Pink

Yesterday I was “seeing red”, and today I am seeing pink!  Today you can find me at Denise’s fabulous blog, Pink Postcard, sharing some of my favorite pink dressers that I have painted over the last few years.  Denise let me choose what I wanted to share over there, and I thought sharing my love for pink dressers would be appropriate for her blog. πŸ™‚  Here is a little glimpse of what you will see over there:
Coral Cottage Dresser- SOLDPin

I selected all shades and styles, so be sure to check it out at Pink Postcard!

While you are there, be sure to have a look around if it is a new to you blog.  Denise is extremely talented and sweet!  Here are some of her amazing works of art…

Aren’t those pieces beautiful?
Hop on over to see me over there today!

And in other news last night Charlie decided to pee on our West Elm gray/cream safari rug in the living room.  Remember this rug?

Yes, well it was dark last night and there is no overhead light in there so I could not see well when trying to clean it.  I used oxy, and awoke this morning to find the spot is now very faded and looks horrible.  I want to cry.
Have a happy Monday anyhow…. my kids are out of school today so we are headed out to see The Lorax!

I love all the pink dressers you shared on the Pink Postcard! A thought on the rug: could you paint in the stripe where it faded?

Oh no! I love that rug. is there anyway to match the colors of the grey and fill it in with some fabric paint? I bet it would be hard to tell if you could get the paint color close enough.

I have had pretty good luck with Nature’s Miracle (you can get it at most pet supply stores) and there are a ton of specialty cleaners for pet stains for major name brands (like Resolve).
The material of the rug will designate what type of cleaner to use. There are plenty of websites out there with good information on that. This is a good site: http://www.howtocleanthings.com/how-to-clean-dog-urine.htm
Also make sure that you cleaned on the other side of and under the rug too – you don’t want the stain to get into your wood floor.
Good luck! I’m sure there’s an answer somewhere!

oh no! sorry about the rug. a dog peeing on your floor is probably as bad as my weekend filled with bear peeing on everything but the potty. my mom took the kids to see the lorax while i was at work last week. june said it was beautiful. i thought it was a funny thing for a 4 year old to say about a movie. wish i could have gone too.

Now that shouldn’t have happened – not the dog peeing on your rug and not the Oxy fading it out. I’m sorry to hear this as that rug was gorgeous. Can you hide it somehow?

Strategic arrangement of furniture is all I can say about Charlie’s potty issues! As long as it doesn’t smell – that’s 100x worse than a stain! πŸ™
Love your pink dresser – that shade is gorgeous – makes me happy!! Look at that instead of your rug!!

So sorry about your rug!!!! πŸ™ have you tried spot shot? That’s what we always use, although it won’t help the current situation. I think I’d try some paint or sharpies to recolor the spot. So sad. πŸ™
