Happy Saturday!  I am feeling festive with December being upon us and wanted to share with you some great links to get you into the spirit for this week’s Seen, Heard and Tasted.  Remember to pin from the original source.

Seen: There are so many awesome holiday tours going on right now!  I am participating in the 12 days of Christmas Blogger Tour organized by Jenny at Evolution of Style and Amy at 11 Magnolia Lane.  Jenny kicked off the tour yesterday and her kids rooms blew me away.  Her son’s room was recently made over for the One Room Challenge, and I am digging the festive touches she added.

Evolution of Style Boys Room Christmas

Heard: Sarah McLachlan’s new Christmas album, Wonderland, does not disappoint. Away in a Manger is my favorite on the playlist and brings back memories.  I loved singing this song in church as a child, and picturing little baby Jesus in the manger. It’s a sweet reminder that greatness can be found in the lowliest of places.

Tasted: Last weekend Emmy requested gingerbread pancakes so I found this healthier recipe for them and she loved it!  I tried them, too, and thought they were delicious.  We have a gingerbread man silicone pancake mold from Crate & Barrel a few years back and used that and added chocolate chip faces.  Unfortunately, I couldn’t find that mold anywhere, but these Christmas trees would be fun and festive, too. (affiliate link).

And with that, I wish you a happy weekend!  We are off to the Christmas parade and tree lighting ceremony in our small town tonight.  Emmy will be marching as one red light in a string of girl scout Christmas lights.  After the ceremony, I think it will be a perfect night for chili and Elf!

So how was your parade, did you have fun or freeze, hope not if cold.Is your parade long? How fun Emma was in parade with her girl scout troup.
We missed our parade of lights in downtown Grand Junction tonight, too darned cold. Used to go with daughter and family but they don’t go anymore either. Was fun tho, went first 3 or 4 years we were here. Little town our daughter/ family live in about 6 miles east of us have their own Christmas parade, not as long but just enuf to be participating at least. It’s usually about middle of Dec. Maybe we’ll all go, grand daughter will be home from college next Saturday.
Didn’t get to enjoy her as much last year as I had right shoulder replaced on Dec. 7th. We went for ride to see lights in G.J. but I wasn’t feeling too well yet.
Has gotten cold here, in 30’s during day and low 20’s or colder at night.
Hope your family had great time. Enjoy rest of weekend. Hugs

Ooooo Sarah McLaughlin has a new Christmas album? The last one is my favorite Christmas album of all time. Did I just say album twice? I am very old.
