Happy Friday!! I had so much fun putting together last week’s Seen, Heard and Tasted, that I decided to do it again. It’s always fun to share things that I find with you, similar to my old Click Its. This week, the kids were in school the full week, and I worked at home mostly which allowed me time to try some new recipes. Fall was also in full swing with cooler temps and I was in the mood for baking! (Please pin from the original source).
Seen: This week I had the honor of participating in the Blogger Stylin’ Home Tours again; you can check out my tour here if you missed it. The hostess herself, Lindsay, blew me away with her stunning home and gorgeous photos. Her dining room in particular struck me…. the moody mix of florals, deep jewel tones and blush was perfection.I just realized I shared a dining room last week as well… I tend to gravitate towards them– possibly because I love to eat, but possibly because I also love the coziness of gathering with loved ones around the table. We’ll go with the latter.
Heard: I love teenage music. There, now it’s out there, and I am glad I got it off my chest. I pre-ordered Shawn Mendes’ album, Illumination, and we’ve been listening to it quite a bit in our house. This song is my favorite.
Tasted: We made these healthy zucchini brownies and they were good. They definitely are not out of the box fudgy brownies, but they passed the kid test and I just need to get healthier ingredients into my kids somehow!
This past weekend with the fall in full effect, it was perfect soup weather. We had an abundance of tomatoes, so I made the roasted tomato soup from Chrissy Tiegen’s Cravings. It was absolutely delicious! Chrissy says it makes 4 servings, but for us it made 3. Chris and I each had a bowl, and I had leftovers for dinner Monday night. So perhaps that should read “4 supermodel servings, but 2-3 for regular people.” 😉
I’ve also been experimenting with my own clean eating turkey meatloaf recipe and pumpkin pie smoothie recipe and hope to share those with you.
I hope you have a beautiful fall weekend…. going to be a wet one here so who knows what we get into… but it might be getting my face into a pumpkin beer and apple crisp.
