Seen, Heard and Tasted 6: Links for Your Weekend

Happy Friday! Hope you have had a great week and are looking forward to the weekend.  November is officially here, and Fall colors are in full effect here in Maryland.  We’re headed up through the mountains for Sawyer’s soccer tournament tomorrow, and I won’t mind that lovely scenic drive.  Other than that, we’ve made no plans.  I purchased the DVD set of Anne of Green Gables, so I think Emmy and I will start watching that… it should be the perfect weekend for it.  Anyhow, I wanted to bring you some links that caught my eyes and ears and tickled my tongue this week with seen, heard and tasted. Please pin from original source.

Seen: Bre’s boho chic nursery for her baby girl is the sweetest room ever.  I love the soothing palette and the DIY touches.boho-chic-nursery-2Pin

Heard:  When Emmy and I were driving back from North Carolina a couple of weeks ago, I first heard I Go Through by O.A.R.  I’ve always loved their music, but this one really struck a chord.  If you haven’t heard it, give it a listen, especially if you are someone’s parent or someone’s child (which is all of us!).

Tasted: On Halloween, I made this crockpot pumpkin turkey chili. I used organic maple syrup in place of brown sugar, and used my own canned tomatoes from my garden and diced them myself; those were my only alterations.  It was so nice to come home from a cold night of trick or treating to a prepared hot meal and a toasty smelling house.  The verdict: I loved it, but Emmy prefers Daddy’s chili (no beans!).  Sawyer won’t eat any chili, and Chris wasn’t home to try it.  I had plenty of leftovers for the week so I didn’t mind.

Have a wonderful weekend!

I’ve been looking for a good chili recipe. I have an old traditional one (tomatoes, beans, etc) but have wanted to try a unique one. Maybe I’l try this one!
